I never thought it would happen to me, especially not at Chick-fil-A, of all places. The way people rave about their service, their chicken, and their hospitality, you'd think it was the safest place on earth. But on that day, I learned just how wrong I was.
It all started with the usual craving—those perfect crispy chicken sandwiches that I could never get enough of. I drove to my local Chick-fil-A, excited to indulge in one of my favorite guilty pleasures. The line was long, but that’s to be expected. People love their chicken, and I’m no exception. The smell of freshly fried chicken wafted through the air, making my stomach growl with anticipation.
When I finally got to the speaker, I ordered my usual: a chicken sandwich with extra pickles and a side of waffle fries. I was feeling extra hungry, so I asked if they could add a little more chicken to my sandwich, maybe double it up.
"More chicken?" the voice on the intercom asked, a touch of disbelief in their tone.
"Yeah, just a little more. I’m really hungry today," I said, trying to keep it lighthearted.
A brief pause. "That’s not really... the way we do things here, sir," came the reply.
"Come on, it’s just a little extra," I pressed. "I’ll pay for it."
Another pause. Then the voice said something that caught me off guard: "Pull up to the window, sir."
I rolled my eyes, assuming it was just some new employee who didn’t know how to handle a special request. As I drove up, I saw the employee at the window. He was a young guy, maybe in his early twenties, his Chick-fil-A uniform crisp and pristine. But his eyes... there was something unsettling about them. They were cold, empty, as if they had seen things no one should ever see.
"Here for your order?" he asked, smiling too broadly.
"Yeah, I just wanted to ask if I could get a little more chicken on my sandwich," I repeated, trying to be polite. "I’ll pay extra, no problem."
He didn’t respond at first. Just stared at me with that unnerving smile. Then, without saying another word, he disappeared from the window, and I heard a faint sound—like the scraping of metal against metal.
Before I could react, the door to my car was flung open, and I was dragged out of my seat with such force that my head slammed against the side of the vehicle. The world spun around me, and I tried to fight back, but I was weak, disoriented. Hands grabbed my arms, pinning me to the ground.
"What the hell is going on?" I tried to shout, but my words came out slurred.
I looked up, and there were more employees now—at least three or four—each of them wearing that same strange, tight-lipped smile. They didn’t say anything. They just moved with precision, as if they had done this a thousand times.
One of them—an older man—held a syringe in his hand, its sharp needle gleaming in the sunlight.
"What… are you doing?" I gasped, struggling to get free.
The man didn’t answer. He simply pressed the needle into my neck, and a cold, numbing sensation flooded my body. My limbs went limp, and my vision blurred. The last thing I remember before losing consciousness was the voice of the young employee at the window, saying, "He wanted more chicken."
When I woke up, I wasn’t at the drive-thru. I was in a sterile, white room, strapped to a chair. The smell of antiseptic stung my nose. Panic set in. I tried to move, to scream, but my body felt heavy—unnaturally heavy. I couldn’t feel my face, my arms, or my legs. My mind was foggy,...
Read moreThis is a note to chic fil a that after a few failed attempts at giving feedback w out a receipt I gave up on. We'll here you go!
When you design a restaurant with one goal, jamming the whole town thru 200 Sq ft with no regard for their comfort, it's obvious money is king at chic fil a Not the customer. Too small, tight, confusing, clusterf. Your restaurants are understaffed, poorly equipped. Not enough fryers or staff because you put money ahead of the customers needs. McDonalds gets it. That's why you'll never beat them. The service. Top down management no excuses ACCOUNTABILITY, real professional service. Customer is king. Not at chic fil a. Rude, condescending, apparently overwhelmed easily, under equipped for the level of business. That's at every chic fil a. Cheap Styrofoam cups? No regard for earth as well. It may be a great chicken sandwich, IMHO it's not worth the wait. And your service is bottom shelf. The worst. Canton, Boardman, Youngstown all 3 carbon copies of each other. I've run restaurants, real ones. Not fast food garbage. Full service. Instead of following the lead of McDs, you went cheap in the wrong areas. Tiny bldg and lot poor design, ever been to McDonald's? Big parking lots, they know seniors are where the money is. Ease of access. Social awareness. Woke. You... Tiny kitchen, not enough equipment, staff or even room to fix it. Poor service is... slow service topped with excuses why. Too busy, too busy. No, overwhelmed because your system is flawed. Money is king at chic fil a, not the customer. You don't get it! Sadly you use people's faith against them to fill your own pockets....
Read moreFirst off, the owner operator is a very nice guy, as were the employees that I dealt with. The problem is, nice doesn't cut it when you have no quality standards. We have literally eaten here 6 times since they opened, and only once was without issue. They really need to reach out to the Chick-fil-A management across boardman for some pointers. That being said, the pricing is a great concern across all Chick-fil-A locations. Come on people, this isn't right. This order: (1) 12 count tiny nugget meal with fries, sub milkshake for drink, and (1) 4 piece strip entree only, add a milkshake. The price? $24.85!!! The worst part is, when you sub a shake, they upcharge you $4.32, WHILE NOT HAVING TO GUVE YOU A BEVERAGE!! A reg shake is only .43 more!!!
Seriously?????
My issue exclusive to this restaurant is they dont seem to care about quality at all. Got the food home, checked it. Nuggets were fresh, strips seemed to have napped under a heat lamp for 15 min. I took them back, and told them the issue, and that i wanted fresh. 2 minutes later, i got back one good strip and three nasty pieces. Not to mention one of my 4.75 shakes was the wromg flavor. They weren't even busy, one car in DT and no one at counter....8 employees chatting though, so i guess thats fine. I just can't believe the lack of quality or care from this place. Next time ill order take out from Chili's, itll be better and...
