Butter Maid Bakery — Restaurant in Ohio

I was told by many friends on social media that this was a very reputable company. I'm sorry to say I do not agree. On their website they claimed to be a very military friendly company. We are a military family and do not feel supported by this company. I ordered over $60 worth of product that came damaged from UPS. I was dealing with customer service and I thought everything was set up that they were going to send me all new product. The next day I received a return label and I put all of the 3 damaged products in the damaged package and returned it to them. The next day I received a package from them with only one of the items ordered when they said they were going to send me all 3. I asked for the other ones to be expedited to be delivered before Christmas since that is what I ordered them for and they refused. I asked for a full refund and they refused that as well. They do not package their product very well and it can easily be damaged and when you try to get them to resolve the issues they refuse. I will no longer do business with this company and I suggest buyer beware before doing business with this company. I have ordered similar products from other companies who package their bakery products in a much better fashion. Be careful...

The first order 3 rolls and a box of cookies were held up in transit by USPS. It spent 9 days in shipping (Not Butter Maid fault). The cookies and the rolls were a little stale. I called Butter Maid and informed them of the delayed shipping and the condition of the products. The promptly replaced the entire order. The second order was still fresh and tasted outstanding. Fantastic people to deal with, I will order from them again and recommend them to my friends. Update: I just got home after going to lunch and found a shipment from Butter Maid on my front door. The order contained 2 Poppy Seed Filled Kolachi rolls and a box of Apricot Kolachi cookies. I tried the cookies and they are fantastic (they will be gone in a couple of days). I have not contacted Butter Maid yet about the second shipment. I hope it was not a mistake sending them to me. I am originally from PA and have had Poppy Seed rolls made by family members. The Poppy Seed rolls from Butter Maid are just as good if not better. I just found out that my daughter sent me the 2 rolls and the Apricot cookies, not Butter Maid. I’m so so so disappointed because I spent over $100 on a variety of baked goods here and almost all of them were a disappointment! I got the pecan tarts, honey walnut kolachi roll, butterball walnut cookies, and the apricot kolachi. The pecan tart was the worst disappointment! The flake tasted really bland and very boring. The inside was such a small sloppy bit that made the whole thing an awful mistake! The Apricot Koluchi was okay. At least the crust tasted like something. It was mildly sweet and buttery, while the apricot spread inside was evenly sweet. Only complaint there was the size. They are very tiny dainty pastries. The Honey walnut Kolachi was disappointing with the outer crust/dough. Bland. Thin. The inside tastes sweet but too mushy. Aesthetically I felt I was eating ground up insects tbh. The butterball walnut cookies were good. A little too rich and not mouth watering enough. I was hoping it would melt in my mouth but I was done after just having half of one.
