Something must change at this McDonald's. I wish I had a better story to tell, but my experience here one evening last week was so incredibly bad, I feel it's necessary to get someone's attention. The crux of the issue is that better management, training, and WORKING EQUIPMENT is crucial before anything will improve. Let me explain. I preordered on the app. Nothing weird, an offer for a free Big Mac with a minimum purchase. I put the Big Mac into the cart, added a large fry, and a large Coke Zero. I paid. Pretty simple, right? With the drive-thru order code glowing on my screen, I pulled into the McDonald's and to my utter delight, NO CARS were at either drive-thru speaker. I pulled up into the inside lane, and got a recorded message that said to 'go ahead' with my mobile order code if I had one. I read it off, and waited. Nothing. I read it again, said 'hello?" and waited. A voice said 'hold on a minute'. So I sat there patiently. Another car arrived, pulled up to the outside lane speaker, and to my disbelief, I heard the driver ordering. I said 'hello!?" again to my speaker, and just got clicks and static back. As I watched the car from the outer lane PULL AHEAD OF ME, (is there anything more infuriating?) I decided to just pull to the first window before anyone else got ahead of me. I had to wait behind the line-cutter, as they sat and sat at the pay window. Well no wonder, the line was solid up to the food window. So no one had moved, the entire 3-4 minutes I'd been there. And we sat. And sat. Eventually, I was able to get to the pay window, where the very young girl had no idea what to do with my mobile order code, saying 'oh, you were on the inside lane? That's the girl up front taking orders from that side". I couldn't even move ahead, as the line was once again stationary. When I FINALLY got to the food window, the girl tried to hand me a bag, to which I said - Big Mac and fries, right? She looked at me blankly. I held out my phone, she took it into the restaurant, and showed someone else. Somehow, they came up with a bag and said 'this is probably someone else's, but it's a Big Mac and fries'. I accepted the bag, then asked for my Coke Zero. She sighed, clearly overwhelmed, and turned to the drink-filling machine. WHICH WAS NOT WORKING. I watched her and a male employee try to get it working (while I wanted to scream JUST GO GET IT FROM A DIFFERENT STATION!) but no, they kept on trying. Eventually, she opened the window and said 'you'll have to go around again, we can't get the drink machine to work'. A quick glance in my mirror showed me 5/6 cars stacked up behind me. No WAY was I going to wait again for a Coke. I apologized and said "I can't, I'd never get out of here." She shut the window again, disappeared, and finally came back with my Coke. I told her to hang in there, it looked like a tough day. I believe it was 13 minutes total from the time I approached the speaker initially. It seemed much longer, but I'm trying to be accurate. So what can you do, McDonald's? First of all, take orders IN ORDER of when people arrived at the speaker. Do not, under any circumstances do this out of order. It causes rage and fury at those who get skipped over, who were rightly there first. Secondly, don't have children working the pay window who have no idea which orders are from which car and therefore no idea if it's an app order (prepaid) or someone that needs to pay on the spot. Thirdly, for crying out loud, have WORKING EQUIPMENT. If the drink filling machine at the drive through is out of order, get an employee stationed at the other drink dispenser, filling called-out orders so your drive through is not a steaming pile of utter crap. In conclusion, the fries and Coke were good. The Big Mac was anything but 'big'. I've never seen such small (3 1/2") patties on a Big Mac, nowhere near to reaching the edges of the buns. It looked like a sandwich...
Read moreThey advertise being open 24 hours, but if you go at a certain time you will be ignored. My friends and I went at 3:30 am for some late night munchies and the drive thru completely ignored us. We sat the there first time for about 2-3 minutes, saying hello a couple times after not hearing anything after the automated “mcdonald’s app” message. We pulled up to the drive thru window to see if anyone was in there, as two cars were in the parking lot but that doesn’t always mean they are there. There was someone washing dishes, completely ignoring the window. We went back around to see if maybe another prompt would possibly make them notice us, but nothing. So we left. Now, if we go during normal eating hours, there isn’t too many issues. I’ve never been inside, just drive thru, and the only issues we typically have is missing food or wrong food, which happens at most Mcdonald’s. Just very disappointing when you are really hungry after a night out and you cant get the food that you really wanted. Also, we did try to order through the app, but the app was only offering (a very limited amount of) breakfast food, and the drive thru had their lunch/dinner menu displayed, so that was a little...
Read moreSo last night after working a 10-hour shift and not feeling like cooking I came to this McDonald's in Perry and ordered the McDonald's box for $16.99, whenever I was in the drive-thru they asked what kind of dipping sauces I wanted for my chicken nuggets so I told them barbecue and sweet and sour so surely when I receive my box and just in a hurry to get home I did not look inside but when I did get home I noticed that the chicken nuggets and the dipping sauces were not there so I drove all the way back to McDonald's to retrieve my chicken nuggets and the girl got snooty with me by saying that I should have checked the box before I left, no actually if she was a good employee then she should have made sure that my order was all there and myself as a customer should not have to check the box to make sure that they did their job right. I am upset because by the time I got home to eat my wife and I had cold sandwiches as well as not so good fries and chewy chicken nuggets. In my opinion the woman should have offered to remake the order so that it was nice and fresh for my wife and I to eat, I hope no one else has to live through this experience with...
