Staff- Not very friendly, some of them are very short and cold feeling and makes you feel like you are bothering them when you need something even if it's one request.
Food- Portions are usually good sized, not extremely healthy food but it's good for eating when your not into fast food and want something home cooked between breakfast, lunch and dinner there's usually always something you can find that sounds good but typically be prepared to eat the food how they feel like cooking it , if you have a special request for how you prefer the food cooked it's often ignored.
The appearance and atmosphere- They just recently updated a few things in the restraunt but it's got a old time vibe , it's a place where my grandparents would of loved , this place is quiet and when I go in its almost majority a senior crowd and I would say that is there target demographic however, it is quiet and you will not be bothered sitting there.
Price and wait - the price is semi- moderate to slighty expensive depending on what you order and you usually get a decent portion for the price. There is not usually a wait to be seated and it does not take an extremely long time to get your food , it's a GAME OF CHANCE when you order sometimes it comes quick other times you have to wait a while to get your food, sometimes it depends on what you order and the crowd and other times it doesn't matter if you order something easy and the crowd is light you still wait a while . There has been a few times where the wait was absolutely unacceptable but I'm sure everyone has there days.
Overall- This restraunt is pretty typical and ok notthing to RAVE about but ok, I've been there before and every once in a while I go there for a hot meal that is more appealing than a fast food restaurant, I would recommend at least trying it if you would like something diffrent than fast food and if you have a few minutes to sit down and eat.

FYI- If you order in for the salad bar you get a plate so you have some room to put your food on there however, if you order out with the salad bar they give you a very small box so you either have to put the food all mushed together or your out of luck for getting more than one thing , I don't like my fruit in my salad dressing , I realize it's not in their financial favor to hand out the big boxes for the salad bar but they need to find a solution so your food doesn't need to be all mixed together for the people that prefer to keep...
Read moreThis is my home town. I have been coming here for over 25 years. It is sad to see that it has gone down hill. I am writing a review after having several bad experiences in a row.
The “award winning” salad bar needs re evaluated. Cucumbers were old and in awful shape. I never would have put them on the line. The lettuce was just iceberg lettuce that was brown and saturated in water. They use to mix in romaine. However the most concerning thing was the green peppers. They were starting to deliquesce and we’re slimy and sticky. It was enough to ruin my appetite. I said something to the server. She apologized but did nothing. At the end of the meal I said something at the register to the woman manager. She said that she recently has bought several cucumbers around the area and they were all like that. Funny I have not had that experience as all cucumbers do not come from the same farm lol. Even if that was the case don’t serve it if it is not up to your standard. After we left we sat in the car and watched the manager walk up to the salad bar stir some things around and then go sit back down.
The “award winning” salad bars best feature was the half stale Kelloggs saltine crackers and the soup. Management needs better attention to detail and to up their standards. Don’t just put food on the line to fill a spot. Check it for quality. It had to go through several people before it got put on the line. The kitchen prep, the server who stocked the line and the manager who I am assuming has to do temperature and quality checks. Thumbs down. I am really sad to see it gone this...
Read moreAbsolutely RIDICULOUS , when I first walked I was asked if I wanted a table or booth said booth was fine, walked past 3 by the windows tried directing me to the back of the restaurant with no windows ( the hostess ). Order me and wife's breakfast 2 omelettes , pancake , bacon and toast. The one omelette I ask for no etc... Add this. Nope completely wrong. Was asked if I wanted to get another I said no that's fine , then cut into the omelette and Bam what I thought was mushrooms was actually sausage so I allowed it to get cold because I was waiting for help with the order. Turned it back in (waited for fresh) wife finished I said to just go ahead and make it to go. Hostess (same from earlier) asked how was everything i begin to explain , while not even acknowledging she takes card and begins to swipe. I said well wait a min your not even going to take at least a DOLLAR off considering I didn't even get to the main course? "Nope, why would I do that you have your omelette!" So then why ask how it was if my opinion truly didn't matter!
I do not recommend. By the way I returned the said omelette and tipped 3$ ...... Good luck...
