We heard about the new owners and since we live nearby decided to give it a try for our Sunday lunch. We seated ourselves without realizing there’s no table service. I noticed people coming to the bar and went over to ask how to order food. The guy tells me to order where the sign is, and that he “even had it written in English “. What he didn’t do was hang the sign to be read from either end of the bar, and I was on the side that could not be seen. I was a sign maker for 25 years and made lots of bar signs. Maybe if the sign were hanging where all patrons could see it they would have avoided the problem. I felt I was treated rudely and sarcastically, so we left. My wife apologized that she forgot her glasses and that we missed the sign. He then asked if we were okay to drive. I’ll be happy to give Ojai Beverage Company my future business. Forgot to bring lunch while working at Ojai Valley Community Hospital. Order the Sausage Platter -Salmon + Cod -Bratwurst and ordered the corn ribs and side house salad. The moment my food was delivered, the delicious aromas hit my nose and instantly made me salivate! I couldn’t get into the food fast enough! Both sausages were packed with flavor and I alternated dipping each bite into the three sauces they provided. The corn ribs were interesting as I never had corn on the cob that I had to eat like baby back ribs before. Juicy and flavorful with the dry rub spices. I used the extra sauces I had and spread them across for even more satisfying flavor. The salad was a perfect finish; vibrant and crisp lettuce, cherry tomato halves, cucumbers and red onions with that house salad dressing chef’s kiss I will definitely come by and and order this all again. My wife and I went there Wednesday night for the first time We had a great experience great time great people behind the bar so excited to go again this Friday night Boy what a difference a real disappointing experience The barmaid that we first had contact with was such an unhappy person and gave us zero attention .i asked her what was a good light beer was and her response was (I have no idea ) how rude how rude She made it very uncomfortable for us to be there and she was very rude never once asked us if I would like another beer or ask us anything!!! very unwelcoming what a horrible way to spend a Friday night never again unless were just hungry later at night!
