Thanks to Caravan Outpost and the exceptional staff for making our Ojai stay a great one! We arrived on a Friday night and although we were late getting in (they close offices at 10PM), Vicky our hostess for the night, was kind enough to stay and wait for us to arrive and check-in. When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place, but the lights and airstreams we saw from the road was an immediate sign we were at the right location. We walked in and my 5 year old commented, "it feels like we're in Hawaii, Mommy!". Yes, that was the vibe that greeted us at Caravan Outpost, like an oasis in the middle of town. There was a fire-pit with a good crowd in the middle of the courtyard, people playing live music at some of the tables, and candlelight dinners on the open bench seating areas... it was a welcoming and inviting sight that greeted us! We walked towards the store area and Vicky greeted us and immediately showed us to our "homes" for the stay: Diego & Sam. Sam was the smaller of the two and my boys were more than thrilled to see the LP player and set-up of the modern but cozy airstream that is Sam. Ours was Diego and this bad boy can sleep up to 5 and perfect for us girls. There's even a bunkbed! Vicky explained the workings of the airstreams, what we needed to know about using the bathroom, shower, heater/AC, fridge, oven/microwave, what was available, and the public restrooms that we could use as well. There's even reading material available that are clear and self-explanatory for all that Vicky explained. No-brainer. We loved this place! The kids loved this place! They got to have smores, which were provided, hang out with the crowd at the firepit, and enjoy live music! This was more than we expected! Thank you Caravan Outpost for the enjoyable and memorable experience! When we left it truly was like leaving an oasis in the middle of nowhere (city/town). If you visit Ojai, this is a must-do location. We will...
Read moreWe recently spent two nights in Ojai at Caravan Outpost, and absolutely loved every minute. |The communications coming from them was fantastic. We were texted when our trailer was ready with instructions on which trailer was ours, how to get in to the trailer and phone numbers to contact if we needed anything at all.||We arrived, parked on the street, and quickly found our beautiful airstream trailer tucked in some trees with a table and two chairs with an umbrella out front. We settled in and walked the grounds. Everything was spotlessly clean, there are games, cornhole and chairs out in the middle of the common area. There are bicycles with helmets available to guests and the bathrooms and shower rooms for guests too were spotlessly clean. Mr. B used the shower rooms as our shower in the trailer was to short for him. He said they were so clean and had everything he needed. Being short, I was able to use the shower in our trailer.||Now to the trailer, so fun! It was clean, everything was well taken care of. On the dining table was a retro record player with some vinyl to enjoy. The bathroom had everything we needed and the bedroom was cozy and the bed so comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and we were more than comfortable in the trailer.||Leilani, the camp host isn't on site all the time, we saw her both mornings and she was so friendly as was all the staff when on site. Leilani offered recommendations of things to do and places to eat.||We had a ball, and loved every minute of our resort camping experience.| |Parking is on the street and never had a problem getting parking. We would absolutely stay again when in the area. Located on a side street in Ojai and easy to walk into town. We walked the bike path one evening to get dinner, and walked back through town, even stopping a few doors down at a Brewery and Winery to have an after dinner drink before turning in...
