Beef 'O' Brady's — Restaurant in Okeechobee

I tend to over look most one star reviews because its usually just people who'll never be happy. Don't do that here....

We ignored the poor service reviews and decided to stop in and try it out.

Bad choice. Should have got pizza like we said at first.

When we entered there was no hostess and two employees sitting at a table staring at us. After 5 minutes I asked "do we seat our selves?". "Oh hold on".. and disappears into the kitchen to not be seen for the rest of the night.

We ordered Pina colada. They "can't make those right now"

We ordered a buffalo Chicken sandwhich with ranch dressing and the "Lotta steak nachos".

The sandwhich was ok. Just missing the ranch dressing. No biggie. We can get that on the side on pour it over.

The "Lotta steak nachos" had maybe 2 OZ. Of steak. Absolutely nothing like pictured on the menu. We asked if it was possible to get more steak to be more appropriate of the 15 dollar price tag.

Our AMAZING waiter Jordyn who appeared to be the only individual actually putting forth an effort to serve customers took the plate back and asked for more. When they returned with the plate it was literally 4 more tiny slices of steak.

We told our waiter we did not want it, and ordered a simple burger with grilled mushrooms added.

20 minutes later, they come out with our burger in a Togo box and the bill. Thankfully we opened the to go box, because they neglected to put the mushrooms which they charged us a dollar for on the burger...

I understand places are short staffed and have issues, but this place has many issues that need to be addressed by ownership.

The food was good, but the poor service is absolutely costing you money.

I try to be as fair as possible on my reviews, and tend to try and leave more positive reviews than negative, as I understand people have bad days. This was not a bad day. This is simply poor service, aside from Jordyn our waiter.

Management needs to do what ever they can to keep her as she waited 7 different tables all by herself while there was not a single other waitress in the building. Or at least in the dining room. With the poor service we still tipped her 25% because it was 100% clear that the failures had nothing to do with her...

UPDATE: We went to Beef O Brady's on St Patrick's Day 2022. We figured it was an Irish pub we should be able to get some corned beef and cabbage done the right way. What we ended up getting was nothing like the corned beef and cabbage that we are used to. The cabbage look like it had been fried as well as the corned beef and there was some red potatoes that I was pretty sure hadn't even been cooked with the cabbage & no carrots. It was not a good meal first off whoever thought to fry corned beef!!! The dinner was a big disappointment I would have been better off going to Golden corral and eating their corned beef and cabbage which I'm sure was probably boiled like you're supposed to do. Was also very small portions to the point that when we left my husband stopped at a fast food place and got something else to eat. They have a sign up that says help wanted cook I believe they need one badly! Don't bother to go to Beef O Brady's for corned beef and cabbage you will not be impressed.

We stopped for an early dinner, the special was Surf and turf. We decided to get the special, it came with a choice of either fried or grilled shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly. Concerning the shrimp one of us got the fried which were hot and delicious the other got the grilled which were cooked perfectly, however they were served luke warm, which made them not as tasty. Worst service I have ever had in my life ! Stood at the door for over ten minutes before anyone even looked at us another 5 after someone said they will be right back to get a table didn't get a server over for another 10 mins then she takes drink order brings back hot sweet tea says she will bring back ice and didn't give enough straws we gave her an order for everything on her little order pad for food she never came back not one time not with the ice not with a straw not a side plate for our apps ,no napkins not one time did she check after someone else brought out the food to see if We was ok she forgot my sons meal it never came out this place use to be great we would stop here every time passing through Okeechobee it was the worst service I have ever had . Watched a couple come in be sat an leave because no one even went over to the table after they sat there for a long while her husband even went to the restroom came back an sat down still no one ever said I'll be over not a eye contact nothing they walked out I don't blame them my husband was ready to also ! They wasn't even busy really I counted 4 tables in the whole place come on get it together people ! At least 5 employees walking in circles past tables that have been gone for a while no one even bussed them down poor management and horrible work ethic ! I'd be putting out adds for a new crew and get the place back to being great...
