This place is really cute! They put all their daily breads and what they have on a giant chalkboard so you know what’s available. It was my first time in (I’d been recommended this place by many different people) and the gentleman who helped me was really patient and answered all my questions enthusiastically. They also had a little display area where all the breads on display could be sampled. It was really nice. They also have an assortment of cookies and muffins, along with granola. Get there early, though, they sell out of the muffins quick! I tried a couple whole wheat chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and a loaf of Wyoming sourdough bread. It was all delicious, and my husband couldn’t even tell the cookies were whole wheat. Love this place!

This is our favorite bakery and we always look for an excuse to come buy fresh baked breads from Big Sky! The quality and taste of the food is exceptional and you can never go wrong with buying two loaves of honey whole wheat (to enjoy one in the car when you pull away and to freeze the other for later use). We highly recommend this family-owned bakery to everyone we know!

We made it in while there were a few items left. They did have some cookies and a few loafs of bread. We will go earlier to get to see all their goodies. We wanted a french loaf. The lady working. I assumed to be the owner was very lovely.

EDIT: I declined a refund when I picked up my bread, but completely appreciated the offer. The fact that someone responded to my comment and offered to make it right, says a lot about Big Sky. Aside from my own homemade challah, the challah from Big Sky is the best I've had. The young man that assisted me when I picked up my order was so friendly and even offered me a cookie. If I don't get my mixer out of storage soon, I'll be back to Big Sky. I have changed my rating to 5 stars.

Original post: I ordered my bread, 3 loaves of Challah for the sabbath and Chanukah, on Tuesday. I was told I could pick them up at 11am Friday. I arrived at 11:05 am and was told my bread had not even been baked yet, they were just rolling it out, it would have to cool, and it "should" be ready at 1pm. Normally, I make my own challah, but we are in the process of moving and my stand mixer is in storage. I'm so disappointed as this is my first time ordering from Big Sky, and I had to drive across town to pick it up. Now I have to drive back across town again, which pretty much throws my schedule off for the rest of the day. In hindsight, I should have called to make sure it was ready, but they have my phone number and no one at Big Sky could pick up the phone to let me know it was delayed? Zero stars for...

Their breads are nothing short of extraordinary—each loaf crafted with care, tradition, and flavors that transport you straight to a European bakery. This is a place that every bread lover absolutely must experience at least once. I initially visited for their Honey wheat bread, but I quickly discovered that their selection goes far beyond just one standout loaf. From hearty, rustic sourdoughs to delicate, flavor-packed specialty breads, their offerings are a dream come true for anyone who love the fresh baked bread. One important tip: certain breads are only available on specific days, and the most popular ones can sell out quickly. To avoid missing out, it’s a good idea to call ahead or check their schedule. Arriving early is often key to securing your favorites—because once you’ve had a taste, you won’t want to leave empty-handed! Also, don’t forget to grab some...

This is one of the true gems I found living in OKC over the past 4 years...BIG SKY BREAD. As an east coast transplant, I was homesick without my neighborhood go-to Italian bakeries. I was looking for a local bakery that made a variety of homemade breads fresh daily. Big Sky does not disappoint. I love coming in for my favorite breads, honey whole wheat, German rye, and walnut raisin. The breads toast so well and are delicious! I also love the specialty breads which change on a rotating basis and the cookies. The staff are super friendly and down to earth. They are the real deal as far as giving you good customer service and giving you a happy feeling every time you come in! They are the best at what they do and it is a joy going there! There is something about the combination of local fresh bread and good service that makes me giddy, looking forward to...
