I went to Merkley's Driving School with my son when I noticed HD's in the same parking lot. I'd seen the name before and was curious, due to great reviews. I have to say it was the BEST HAMBURGER I'VE EVER HAD IN OKC. It was a simple onion burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. They leave the condiments squirt bottles at your table. The patty was perfectly juicy but not greasy, and the ratio of bread, veggies and meat was PERFECT. I expected to eat maybe half of the burger but ended up finishing the whole thing. The tator tots are perhaps the best tator tots I've had anywhere, ever......so crunchy and satisfying. Bonus feature is all of the Mexican sugar Coca Colas and Fanta flavors in the bottle! I know it's more cheaply priced but if you want the tastiest burger around here, do yourself a favor and give HD's a chance. The family that runs the place could not be more welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to having an excuse to go to that part of Rockwell and 122nd again!...
Read moreLong review alert . Keith Lee needs to come visit this place. I’ve been eating here for 3 days straight! Once I found a great place, I try to taste everything on the menu. This place is awesome! The customer service AND the FOOD Omgoodness ‼️ I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed when coming here. The prices are so reasonable. I did some research and i see that this place don’t have social media that can explain why this place isn’t popular or packed . It’s a hidden gem that’s for sure. I can’t tell you what’s my favorite because everything that I’ve tried so far is my favorite, from the onion burger, the gyro, the Indian taco, I can’t name just one thing. Now I have my son going there , brother and mother going there. I do wish they’d put vegan foods on the list too so my whole family can enjoy. And if they have delivery i probably would eat there everyday. Anyways I highly recommend. 10/10. If Keith Lee ever comes to OKC I pray he visits...
Read moreStopped by HD’s Onion Burger as part of my search for a great local burger, and it definitely made a solid impression. I went with the breakfast burger mainly because the idea of a hash brown on it sounded too good to pass up. At first, the burger was a little dry, but once I hit that runny egg yolk, it all came together beautifully—super satisfying. The bacon stood out too: crispy, thick-cut, and definitely better quality than what you usually get on a burger. I honestly could’ve eaten a plate of just that. Regular fries were pretty good, but the curly fries were the real winner—crispy, seasoned, and addictive. Only downside was a bit of confusion around how to pay and not getting a drink refill, but nothing that really ruined the experience. I’m already eyeing the gyro for next time. Worth checking out if you’re into delicious and...
