If over-priced, average-tasting food is your thing, this is the place for you. The portions of those high food cost items such as the few scarce slivers of chicken on my Chicken Panini, or the four small meatballs in my Penne Pasta, are meager in relation to the menu price. And the pasta/meatballs appears to have been downsized since the last time I ordered it. And their large plastic drink cup is still being falsely advertised as a ''32 oz.'' cup. It isn't.
Got fed up with Jason's and hadn't been in over two years, until tonight's spontaneous and regrettable visit. Too many annoying experiences on previous visits with things like the little muffins at the end of the salad bar, routinely dried out and well on the way to becoming petrified. Or, alternately, having to beg and plead with the surly staff to refill the otherwise empty muffin basket. Nowadays, the muffins, crackers and other ancillary items that were once ''complimentary,'' are now not, unless you've purchased the salad bar. Nevermind that you've spent 22 bucks on food, you ain't getting any of our stinkin' muffins if you haven't purchased that salad bar!
Another old familiar annoyance apparently still standard practice: It appears as though Jason's still loves to rush closing by getting started breaking down the salad bar, throwing out the tea (@$2.79 for 29 oz. of it, less ice), etc., well in advance of the posted closing time.
So no, Jason's, I didn't particularly enjoy my meals or my experience. The most spectacular thing was the price, but pretty much everything else was at or...
Read moreOkay… i know I’m from the south, so my expectation of personalities may be skewed to the point where I notice the “lack thereof” more than others… but nobody in this restaurant smiled or looked like they enjoyed their job (or life for that fact). And they were not good “problem solvers” (at least not erring on the side of the customer, that is).
Now the food wasn’t terrible…but the first problem was the “all you can eat salad bar” still advertised on google was now a “one trip” that they didn’t tell me about until i ventured up for my second trip after only getting a few things on the first run. (Didn’t want to overflow my plate…although had I known it was a “one trip limit”… then I would have made different choices my first go around). So.. I paid for an extra sandwich b/c i was still hungry. “Skimpy” doesn’t say enough about this place. Remember the old Wendy’s commercial “where’s the beef”?? Well, “where’s the deli meat, Jason!” Plus, they made the sandwich wrong (not using a wrap as ordered). And we didn’t have time to wait to fix it. So we went back to the conference hungry…and a bit put off.
But God is still on the throne, so it’s all relative. This is truly a first world problem here.. but jason gets only 3 stars from me.
The good news is we are from out of town and won’t have to eat here again. Not a good value...
Read moreThis review is for their catering. I ordered catering for a meeting we had at work. The food was good, and correct. Everything I ordered arrived. There are two points I really liked, that were better than other restaurants who catered previous meetings: #1. Some other restaurants use DoorDash, PostMates, UberEats, GrubHub, etc. to deliver their food. It seems no matter how clearly you write out instructions on the order, the delivery service people usually have trouble finding the building and office, like they don't even bother to read the directions. But Jason's catering sends their own employees to deliver, and they followed the instructions and found the building and office fine, first try. #2. When we've ordered ice to go with the gallons of tea from other restaurants, they've just brought big bags of ice like you'd get out of the bin in front of a convenience store--no bowl or scoop. So it sits in your meeting room and melts everywhere, plus it's just a big plastic bag you have to tear open and use a cup to scoop. But Jason's does a great job with ice! They brought it in a nice box that was lined with plastic so it didn't melt everywhere, and brought a scoop! Yay Jason's! My request to Jason's: please don't stop having your own employees deliver your catering--they do such a better job than the...
