Old School Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

I have made a genuine effort to provide this establishment with an opportunity to redeem themselves, given my affinity for their bagels and sandwiches. However, the Old School bagel that I have purchased from other locations has consistently been exceptional. Unfortunately, the Moore location falls short. The sandwiches are subpar, appearing to be hastily assembled without attention to detail. For instance, I ordered a toasted Lox and Cream cheese, which was poorly prepared. The salmon was not properly cured, and excessive capers were added, amplifying the saltiness. The tomato and red onion were thinly sliced and lacked freshness. The bagel was inadequately toasted, and the sandwich was overpowered by cream cheese. The overall experience was disappointing, with the sandwich being overly salty and served on a soggy, cold bagel. To rectify this situation, I suggest the following: Address the customer service skills of the employees, particularly the young lady working the drive-through, who consistently displays rudeness. Quality of food was good but service was very poor so it affected the rest of the experience. I went there around 10-11am today and the staff seemed inattentive to start then avoidant and unkind later. I got the salmon bagel my husband got some with cream cheese and we tried the iced mocha (light syrup) when we tried it neither of us liked it and I took both the drinks to ask if we could exchange them for something we did like, like plain Americano. I understand not all company’s do this but when you’re paying $5 a drink it doesn’t hurt to ask. When I asked the women at the register, she wouldn’t make eye contact and her attitude was immature and unprofessional. She responded by saying “okayyy…was it to sweet or…?” Then just waited for me to say something and started to show contempt by her behavior and attitude. I found it rude and uncomfortable. I had never encountered such awkward and inappropriate service from Old School Bagel Cafe, it definitely left a mark and I won’t enjoy this...

I admit... I’m from the east coast and have high expectations for bagels... but their place was truly a disappointment. It’s HUGE from the outside, and yet when you go in you can tell there is way more effort in the dining area than the bagels. The options are incredibly limited. I ordered an everything bagel and jalapeño cheddar with plain cream cheese. The menu states the bagels are 1.19 each yet my total was 6.50! This means the cream cheese costs more than the bagels... yet when I questioned the price, the woman responded “is that expensive?” in the most condescending tone. So I changed the order to the bakers dozen variety and two tubs of cream cheese. $20 way more reasonable that way. Got home, opened the box to find all sweet bagels and two plain.... seriously 😒. Plus the cream cheeses was a chive one. Why on earth would they give me practically all sweet bagels?! Settled on a plain, and it was rubber!! Seriously save your money and just get win I bagels.
