The Pho was delicious but wasn't mind blowing. Definitely went down good on a rainy day. The location wasn't too busy at time of visiting it seemed they had just a ton of to go orders they kept preparing.
Food came out warm and Delicious. Where they really drop the ball here is the service, the men's bathroom was locked all night, the server asked how many, sat us and said are you ready to order in minutes with no help on explaining anything I feared to ask questions as she was already annoyed we came to eat. I only got 1 refill of water and got the check before I got a chance to review for desserts. The food was just good enough to make me want to return but the service is what might make me try elsewhere. I was unfamiliar with the checkout process as I noticed others go up to the register to pay she said nothing and just left the check on us with no care if we wanted anything else, if it was good, was everything alright? When walking up to the counter she took the checkbook from me so I awkwardly stood there then I walked back perhaps she wanted to start doing her part. I then realized she was not returning with the checkbook and disappeared again so I walked to the counter to sign and tip. Honestly may take this food to go in the future. Wish their staff was more patient, friendly and able to help newcomers as my Vietnamese friends got me into pho but I'm not versed enough to explain other...
Read moreI am a regular and enjoy their food a lot. We had called for a reservation before we came in so the owner was nice enough to have the food all ready and set up for us. So that was really nice of them... Nothing was wrong with the food, it was good, but they sure need to work on customer service. The owner had the audacity to asked to us to put tips down just because we said to him that the food was good. Here's the reason why we feel like we didn't need to put tips down. For one, the waitress never came back to see how we were doing. Second, I discovered a baby cockroach crawling around by the vegetable plate. Hence the reason why I didn't even finish my bowl of pho and left with no tips, but the owner still had the audacity to ask us to put tips down. Just straight up rude. I sure did tell him in the face that it was rude to ask for tips when they did not even do a good job. They should be happy that I didn't say all this a front of all the other customers. I wish I would have taken a picture of that cockroach I squished with the napkin. I'm sure its' tiny little legs are still there. Anyway, after all this, we still left them $10 tips for cooking the food. I wasn't plan on saying anything about the cockroach, or complain about the waitress until the owner rudely ask us to leave tips. Will I still go back there? Probably not..not after the cockroach incident and how they rudely asked us...
Read moreVery surprised in the flavor of both broths. It's just as good as the renowned shops near 23rd Street. What sets this place apart.. I'd have to start by saying the portions are huge. So flavor and portions are there more than the average pho house. Bean sprouts, and basil were large. Sides you can order are plentiful as well. Menu selection was very variable. It was clean and modern inside the establishment. Everyone dressed in clean uniform. Definitely not a hole in the wall. They even offer to pack your leftovers, and that stood out as well from the average places.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is an easy fix for the owner. It is extremely rude to serve other people at your table and not everyone else. My niece was served first and started eating. We had to wait 8 minutes till a side was brought, then 5 more minutes for my daughter's bowl, then 3 minutes till my wife's and my bowl came. That is so annoying and enraging to be served that way. So to the owner, if you don't know, it is pure rude and unprofessional. You need to design a better system for how you get your food to your patrons at the same time like other...
