I wasn't very happy with everything today. I ordered on the app around 430pm. My wife and kids came over around 5pm after getting the kids from school. I ordered for it to be made right then and picked up inside. 1. They had the doors locked and we're not letting anyone in. That's fine. I understood later on why but chalked it up to covid protocols. The line was not long but took 10 minutes to get to where you order. There were only two cars in front of me. I was greeted then asked to wait one minute. Waited 5. I called out, was asked to wait a sec. I waited 5 minutes again. I asked are you all ready. "Yes, what is your order." No apology for having me wait 10 minutes. I said we have an app order, gave my name, and the order number. He said pull up to the window. The first car was visibly frustrated. The second car took about 5-10 minutes to get the order. First car, still waiting. I pull up and the young man at the register said order for (someone else's name). We said no that's not ours. He said okay. Once again, no apology for the mess up or wait. We waited 10-12 more minutes. Finally he gives us the bag with the sticker that says check with care slapped on it. I could tell it was wrong. I pulled over and they forgot my sides. I got out, I looked at the first car who was still there. Walked to the drive up window, because there is no other way to communicate with anyone since they door is closed. Walked around to the front and just happened to be able to get in because the person who gave me my food was taking an order to the store next door. He proceeded fo tell me that the inside was closed. I told him you all messed up my order. Instead of telling me to wait and he will help, he proceeded to tell me that we were closed inside. I said I was going in. There were only four people in there and one adult. That poor manager was overworked and looked flustered. He clearly was the only one who was cooking and trying to work. He didn't apologize. He just looked at the other children and proceeded to tell them they needed to check the bag before the finish up the order. I got my food, walked out, and let the guy from the first car in who by now was totally frustrated. I left that store at 540-45. 40 minutes of pure WTH. I will not return. We made a pickup order on the app, and when we pulled up to the drive-thru, the lady had us wait nearly 10 minutes while we could hear her laughing and talking to her coworkers on the speaker.
Eventually we got our order, but as we were leaving I checked the bag and noticed a couple items missing and one thing we had not ordered. When we returned to the drive-thru speaker she had us pull up to the window again, where she told us that the manager had packed the order and everything was in the bag.
When we tried to explain again the items were not there and that we even had something that was not from our order, the manager walked over and, without listening to our request first, simply stated (very condescendingly) “I fixed the order and I put everything in the bag.”
I was confused and tried to state again that the items were definitely not there, but any attempt we made to show them and ask for our missing food was interrupted by the manager in a very demeaning way.
The manager kept interrupting our attempts to explain and show them that the missing items were not there, and she kept talking over us saying “everything is in the bag” and “I clearly remember putting it all in there, but maybe you think I’m just remembering wrong?”
Things weren’t going anywhere so we left (without the missing food items that we had paid for), and when I tried to leave a review and contact support on the app they only offered me a coupon, which was unhelpful because I would not be returning after such an upsetting experience.

Read moreI recently visited popeyes chicken on NW Expressway and had an incredible experience. The chicken was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was juicy and flavorful, making it one of the best chicken dishes from popeyes that I had in a long time.
The customer service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, the manager Ms. Sterling was very attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a great dining experience. They were quick to address any needs or questions, and their positive attitude made the visit even more enjoyable.
Teamwork was clearly evident among the staff. Devon made sure to help me with lids and promptly restocked. Thank-you young man! They worked seamlessly together to ensure that everything ran smoothly, from taking orders to delivering food promptly. It was impressive to see such coordination and collaboration, which undoubtedly contributed to the overall excellent service which was also quick!
You can really tell they are trying to improve this location through hard work, perseverance, and great customer service!
Overall, I highly recommend popeyes on NW Expressway for their outstanding chicken, exceptional customer service, and impressive teamwork. It’s a place where you can expect high-quality food and a welcoming clean atmosphere.
