Had planned a special lunch date with Hubby and sushi was a MUST!!! Found that The Hayashi was in route and decided to stop in to see what they were all about!
The host was helpful and extremely nice. Was grateful to be able to utilize their restrooms as it was a bit of a drive from Dibble. The restroom was clean and welcoming.
The Chefs did a fantastic job preparing our order to go even while being bombarded by another guess barking orders at the bar. They maintained their professionalism and efficiency.
The staff did a phenomenal job of communicating with me throughout making sure of how my order was to be executed. Including all the things to boot. Soy sauce, chop sticks, napkins, ginger, wasabi!
Upon arriving at my husband's work roughly 25 minutes away our food was plenty warm and so very fresh! Hoping to get some time off soon so that he and I are able to return for a dine in experience.
10 out of 10! HIGHLY recommend!! We SHALL most definitely be eating here again.
Clearly care for their customers and it shows. Thank you for an amazing meal and overall first impression as well experience to...
Read morePlace was dead on a lunch hour at about 12:15. The sushi was decent. Wasn't as cold as I'd have liked it to be. I also noticed the sushi chef didn't wash his hands before handing my food, as I was sitting at the bar. Then I noticed he went outside and came back, sat down, and when another customer came in and he took their order and again... Made it without washing his hands. That was just utterly disgusting to me. There's an obvious reason to washing your hands before you're handling someone's food, but secondly, it's better to handle the sushi with colder hands. I got a rainbow roll for 16 bucks, a single Sapporo beer, and a hot sake that we're 10 bucks each. Ended up being 42 bucks before tip. I'm not a cheap person, but house sake...gekkeikan?? Alcohol wasn't on the menu but I assumed the basic prices with other restaurants. Place is overpriced for lunch and no lunch specials either. The dinner atmosphere might be different, but based on my experience, I was over charged and wasn't at...
Read moreSushi Hayashi is under new management, but the quality hasn’t changed—it’s just as incredible, if not better! The sushi is still the best in the state, and the new staff is super friendly. It’s great to see improvements, especially since service used to be a complaint in the past. The retired owners left behind a fantastic legacy, and I wish them all the best in their retirement.
They no longer offer sweet tea, but they provide sweeteners for regular tea, so it’s not a big deal. Prices are a little high, but that’s to be expected for high-quality sushi. The sushi bar is still immaculate and looks great even after all these years. If I had to suggest anything, maybe updating the interior with a fresh coat of paint would make the space even nicer.
Overall, I’ve been a loyal customer for 15+ years, and I’m thrilled to say I’ll keep coming back! I highly recommend...
