I just moved here this summer from Georgia. I am a woman of color and a disabled Desert Storm Veteran, I also have a service dog. I saw Tucker's Onion Burgers and thought, "Wow that sounds good! " although I've never heard of them I thought I would try them out. Since I arrived in OKC from Georgia, I have been very enthusiastic, OKC has a different vibe! I LOVE IT HERE, I AM SO HAPPY TO BE HERE...! Now back to the burgers. Here is my experience at Tucker's: 10 Reasons I most likely will not recommend nor go Back! 1 - When I first walked in I read the menu on the wall, hopefully flavor and quality will match their prices...it didn't! 2 - I just wanted a burger but the cashier convinced me that their fries were so great better than anywhere else, I've never been here so I thought that I'd try them too. I placed my order, then he said it wouldn't be ready right away so I asked how long and he said 15 minutes. I waited 15 minutes and my order still wasn't ready there were several people who placed orders after me but were receiving their food before me, mind you, all these people walked in behind me! Number 4- When the people behind me were receiving their orders the staff asked if they wanted ketchup and a bag then the staff told each customer thank you have a nice day. The same courtesy was not given to me, I had to specifically asked for it, sad. Then I told them to have a great day, maybe business hasn't been great? 5 - After waiting well over 35 minutes I check for my order again still not ready and then the same person who took my order said 5 more minutes, it didn't happen...still no food. I noticed that there were about 6-9 workers behind the counter including the manager, wow! Great service? 6 - Finally my order was ready the same guy (cashier/server) gave me the order. No ketchup, no courtesy... maybe he forgot? Tucker's Onion Burgers staff made me very uncomfortable throughout this whole experience, as if I didn't belong there and the showed me this by treated me as such. 7 -I got home in less than 5 minutes. I looked at my receipt again as well as my food to see what cost my $15. The burger and onions were burnt, the french fries were so burnt that I couldn't even taste any flavor...they were cold too! I didn't know what to think, is this how Tucker's food really is or was I just "special" that day? I feel that the staff were very unprofessional, unwelcoming and biased. 8 - In my first and last experience with Tucker's Onion Burgers, I feel that the quality of their food and service is substandard, awful! Burger King or McDonalds would have done it better, their food is familiar, good quality, fast service and the price is always right! So much for trying something new...I will definitely proceed with caution after this! 9 -Thanks to word of mouth and the ability to communicate on the world wide web. My experiences of this type of unfavorable trea as well as millions of others around the world can now be noted. This is also a powerful tool in assisting us in better understanding the uniqueness and beauty of our differences. 10 -People should keep in mind that you can never know who you are talking to. This person can be there to evaluate your businesses and staff. A person on the edge who just needs a little kindness or even someone who may be able to help you out one day in your greatest time of need. Only God knows! Let's take better care of each other, we are all God's children and therefore well loved! ...
Read moreI am not normally a review guy, however I just left eating at the Quail location and spending $19.55 for a very disappointing burgers, fries and drink. I was unable to even get a staffer to talk to me about my disappointment in this meal as they were all busy on their phones, so I thought I would leave a review in hopes the quality of the establishment might rekindle.
I have been a Tuckers fan for years. However, the meal I just ate, or mostly ate, has to be one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had ever, not just Tuckers! $19.55 for a drink, burger and fries means the meal needs to be exceptionally good.
The person taking my order was offended that he was even being asked to do anything. He was disinterested, apathetic and uncaring that I was spending money at the establishment he represents!
I ordered a Single burger with cheese and all the fixings. Toppings of the burger were thrown on like someone was in a hurry to leave. The fries were leftovers and hard as stones. I did have a late lunch, as such I suspect they did not want to waste the fries so they decided to give those to me as a reward for arriving at 2:45p for lunch. Crumbs and stones were the consistency of the fries!
I am not a complainer, but I decided that since I paid $19.55 for this meal I should probably voice my concern of the disappointing product I got for the enormous amount of money I paid. So I waited for a staff to come to the counter for approx 5-7 minutes. No one!! Not one person came to the counter. I could see them all playing on their phones!! I am the ONLY person in the restaurant currently outside of staff. Not one other was there prior to my arrival nor did anyone come in while I was there.
It sure is disappointing what $19.55 gets you these days!!

Read moreIt was my first time in Oklahoma, so I made a beeline for the local onion burger!
How the onion burger has not found mainstream popularity is beyond me. It's cooked with a hearty pile of fried, thinly sliced onions smashed into the patty.
This burger is greasy mess that doesn't look pretty. You get onions dangling out of your mouth with each bite, but you'll be too busy enjoying it to care!
Tucker's offers a beef or turkey patty, and you order a single, double, or the Mother Tucker (triple). You can add cheese and toppings (including jalapeño). They also serve milkshakes, including a seasonal peppermint.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried - single cheeseburger, Mother Tucker with cheese, fries, and a peppermint shake. Everything I wanted from a burger joint - satisfying greasy food, cheery service, and clean booths...
