I had an issue with the Orange chicken I had ordered and instead of going back and complaining I just let it go. The quality, portions, freshness, speed of food of Jasmine Pavillon is normally A+++ plus. It’s one of my families favorites when we are craving delicious Chinese food here in Johnson County. Well the kids did not like the orange chicken this time, everything else was fantastic! However I was not trying to go back to the restaurant and complain and be that person. Later in the evening I received a request in my email box asking “How did we do?”basically a survey about my experience and I gave an honest review. The next day I get a message from the company and wow I can’t tell you how blown away I was by the customer service! Whoever was messaging me apologize completely took into account what my issues were. Let me know that this was not something that they want to happen again they made me feel like they really care that I’m a customer I know this is just a restaurant to everyone else. However they really made me feel like the money and my opinion mattered. Not once did they blame give excuses or make me feel like it was probably just my issue. They really wanted me to know that their complete goal is customer satisfaction and that I know the quality of their food is important to them. I cannot believe how personable this experience was. I’ve been going here for a couple years and I can 100% say I will be there #1 fan for going back! I normally don’t take the time to write good reviews unless it really is worth it and I feel like this had to be had to be said. Any company that takes the time to actually review and respond to the customers is very rare these days. I think what it was amazing was the survey was private it wasn’t going to be on social media or anything so there really was no need for the company to reach out to me and only to just take the feedback given. Places like this are very rare and they should be acknowledged. I truly appreciate not feeling like a number like everywhere else. Jasmine Pavilion showed me the quality of their food and their customers are truly very important to them. Any business especially one that serves food, that takes the time to resolve, correct or even acknowledge customers experience even if it was initially negative and turn it around to make my experience happy is so valuable . Mind you, it was bland and the lady told me that it wasn’t her problem I didn’t like the food. Just wow!! The audacity in the way she spoke to me as a customer. HIGHLY disappointed, she told me this was American culture to switch out your meal, they don’t do that in china where she’s from. Well lady, we are in America and I wasn’t trying to be rude however the food was to my disliking and my husband felt the same about the orange chicken, it was cold and tasted off. We were informed “we” were wrong when we requested the dinner specials and they were supposed to come with crab Rangoon and egg roll, yet she asked if we wanted small or regular. It was very confusing. Unfortunately this place doesn’t stand by the golden rule “the customer is always right”. I’m not a person to be rude or send things back for no good reason, the food was a HUGE let down. She tried to explain her way out of everything, it was very rude how she bluntly told us we were in the wrong and she would have to charge us more if I chose differently. Mind you I had taken one bite of my food and it was not good (it’s not like I ate half my plate or was trying to get anything free). Don’t let the reviews here fool you, as they did us. Read moreI've lived in Olathe for over 20 years and just experienced Jasmine Pavilion for the first time a couple weeks ago, and man I've been missing out! AMAZING!
First of all the lady managing the dining room was super friendly and very welcoming! When I asked her about General Tso's chicken she actually recommended one of their hibachi dishes... It's called Sizzling Mongolian Delight (it has chicken, beef and shrimp with vegetables) and literally comes out to the table sizzling hot, FRESH, and has so much flavor!! It is absolutely my new favorite dish!!!
The lady waiting my table was also very welcoming and friendly, and is very quick with drink refills and any needs I had. I also liked that when I've gone back they've not only remembered me, but also exactly what I like to order as well...Very impressive! The restaurant is very clean, well kept and organized, and has a good warm feeling while dining.
The story about the Chef in the beginning of the menu was very interesting as well and makes perfect sense why all the food is so delicious! One of these days I'll ask to meet him so I can compliment him on his delicious and well presented meals!
