It's hard to give an underwhelming review. Especially when it's fast food. I mean, what do you expect, right? The crux of it was just how little a priority cleanliness was outside where your customer is. We had a group there and we sat outside. The tables were a bit grimey and the area wasn't well kept. The surrounding area is nice, so there's that, but maybe we just hit it at a bad time. Could be better tomorrow.
Food was okay. I somehow think Sonic's ice cream has reduced in quality though, over the years. It's hard to see that. I hope it's just me because I do enjoy blizzards. But the edge has come off the product.
Service was on the fence. I like erroring on the generous side, but this is how the visit began, so you be the judge.
Them: Hello? Us: Yes we'd like to place an order? Them: .... Us: can you hear me? Them: ... Us: ...hello? Them: ...go ahead Us: We would like... Them: Hold up... Us: Ok.... Them: .... Us: ... Them: Okay Us: (Finally orders.)
From there it was just some impatience, brevity, and inconsiderateness. I'm not trying to be too hard. It could have been really bad. And it's fast food. You need to appreciate people that do it. Not everyone has customer service skills and this is where you develop it. The carhop was pleasant and someone waved to us as we left. That was nice. Probably some good young people working there, meaning well. There was nothing to get bent out of shape over, and we just enjoyed our time there regardless.
I think maybe it was just an underwhelming evening. They probably do fine otherwise. Although the customer service skills and cleanliness need work. Hopefully this will be an opportunity to improve some, but if not, I'd still consider coming back, just because of my expectations, but being fair I might try...
Read moreIf I could give less than 1 star I would. I hate to leave a review over fast food, but this location is the worst sonic location I've ever encountered. It needs either new management or some one to pay attention. The other night I ordered at 930pm.... at 10pm they turned off the lights. I pressed the button and was told sorry we are closed. I replied, I have never received my food from 30mins ago. It was quiet, 2 mins later i say hello? It said Micheala? Was on the way out with my order 10mins ago & she responds im sorry we just were really busy and we lost track of orders. I had to wait for them to make my order & finally received it close to 1020. They apologized. I tried them again tonight. It took a while to get the food. The young man comes to the car, reads my order to me and hands me the drinks and bag. i decided to check the bag before pulling out. I am so sad to say the food in the bag was wrong. I am so glad I didn't drive off. I understand mistakes happen, I understand being busy, but it is ridiculous the amount of errors & extreme wait times. You feel stuck when you pay at the kiosk . To top it off my meal tonight was a chicken slinger... I could tap the edges on a table it was so hard I couldn't eat it. I just wasted my whole meal. I don't think it is worth me calling up to them or going back. I am sad to say they have lost our business. There isn't another sonic close to us. So I think this will be the end of us ever eating here. Unfortunate.!! All this to say I hope someone reads this from the company and investigates this location. Read moreSo many problems. I live 5 blocks away and would rather drive the 2 miles to the Sonic down the street. Get my order wrong a lot. I ordered at the drive thru one time and after every item they gave me the total and told me to drive around to the window. After the 3rd time I asked them to stop talking until I told them I was finished. Then repeat it back to me so I know they got it right. Another time I sat at the speaker saying "Hello, hello is there anyone there?". I drove to the window didn't see anyone so I called them to tell them I was sitting at the window. Two employees came to the window and said they must be having problems with the drive through speaker. I sat there while they played with the headset. I then knocked on the window and asked if they would like to take my order and then figure out the problem. It took 15 minutes or so to get the order, which was 2 shakes and onion rings. The one that had identified himself as the night manager was making excuses right and left about problems with the store. I told him I don't really care about all of this. He told me the total for my order and took my credit card. I told him with all of the trouble with getting my order and the amount of time I would have thought he would had offered to comp part of my order or give me one of those ridiculous free cherry limeade chips. He apologized again comped my order and I left. That was about 4 months ago. Tonight I thought I would grab a snack on my way home from the grocery store and I couldn't believe it. They close at 8pm!!! It's summer break. The other Sonics are opened until midnight....
