My overall experience was pretty pleased. We had bout a 30-40 minute drive to get there and had pogo passes. While getting ready to get in, I noticed a lifeguard tell a child that he had to warn him about running multiple times within 10 minutes and that he shouldnāt have to again. Wasnāt rude about it, just enforcing water safety. As someone who has high standards for water safety it was nice to experience that. Very well trained lifeguards.
They had a basketball hoop in one section of the pool and it was pretty crowded, I thought it would be a nice addition for a second hoop on the opposite side.
The water slides are apparently awesome. My fiance rode the yellow one and said he was going so fast that when he hit the bottom it flipped him and cleared out his sinuses. He said immediately the life guards were rushing to ask if he was okay. If youāre into a calmer slide there is also an orange slide that my kiddo rode and said it was a lot of fun as well.
I spent most of my time in the lazy river. It was a very pleasant experience. There are certain areas that have fountains so you can cool off while floating. You do have to have a tube which wasnāt clear the first time but I asked a lifeguard. NBD. They seemed to be somewhat low on tubes so I was trying to save one for my fiance and was told by the life guard that I canāt be touching someone elseās tube. I tried to let her know I was saving it and she said itās just a rule they have, so I let it go. She was polite about it.
Concessions were fairly priced. $2 hot dog, $3.75 nachos, $2 ice cream. The pretzel was quite delicious! The nachos were okay at best. The chips were very thick and almost tasted stale even though they were not expired. They also have Kona ice which Is cool.
I did chat with a lady who said that it was much busier than usual when we went since other pools in the area were already closed for the season. Despite the business we all still had such a fun time and would make me drive again.
My BIGGEST complaint is the lack of cool spots in the concrete and my feet burning from one side of the park to the other. They had 2 hoses around the lazy river but itās the furthest thing away from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis pool has a lot to do. Lazy river, lap pool (can't actually use for laps), zero depth entry, baby pool, little kid area, climbing wall, diving boards, high dive and water slides. You have to have tubes to use the lazy river or slides. If there are no tubes, you don't get to go. People will just sit in lounge chairs holding onto tubes for when they feel like doing something while people try to get an empty tube to enjoy the pool amenities that require one. In the lines, you wait on the concrete that gets so hot that people resort to standing on the tubes and then they start to go flat so that less tubes become available. The best part is, when people come down the slides and exit or are exiting the lazy river, people are waiting for the tubes...which makes sense. But the life guards rudely tell everyone to go wait at the entrance, where no one is getting out with tubes or leaving tibes in thw lazy river so they can go around to the entrance. So everyone waiting at the entrance do not get tubes because everyone is leaving them at the exit or at the slide entrance. Lots of parents packed up and left and were upset. I had my tube taken feom me by a parent because "I had it long enough". I went down the slide with my kids and half a time around the lazy river. They need someone to air up tubes when they are low and have a better process. The pavement being so hot makes people not walk clear across and put them where they belong so people at the entrance can use them. This pool is out last choice every year and we only come because my oldest loves...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy whole family despised this water park. You just could not relax there. It was a sea of humanity with lifeguards always yelling at you for something. The children couldn't even put their feet over and cover the fountains that spring up in the kids area. We waited forever for a raft and when we finally all got one my husband ended up with one that seats two people. As we were going around the lazy river that was not relaxing at all (remember the Sea of humanity ) the lifeguard yelled at him and said he couldn't be a single person in a double raft. As we were going around he spied a single one left to the side so he got out to trade out his double for the single and was yelled at for setting his raft where it apparently did not belong (Even though he was just trying to follow the instructions and picking one up and replacing it with the one he had). And then he couldn't go back in where he had come out but had to walk all the way back around again. My son got yelled at for swimming near the rope (not hanging on the rope mind you). The line to go down the slides was a 15 to 20 minute wait and you could not wait on the stairs you had to wait on the hot pavement. It was just unending and made the whole experience completely unenjoyable. To top it all off you know what is allowed? Throwing a real (hard) football across and over a ton of people and hitting them in the face....
