We were humiliated in public.
My whole family and I are Starbucks members. We all had stars expiring on October 2nd, so we all decided to order today.
When my daughter went into the store to pick up our orders placed in advance through the app, one of the baristas shouted "( one of our names )'s order with 10 shots when it's so busy". First of all, the barista never should have called out a customer by name like that in front of everyone in the store with an obvious intent to embarrass them. We have all been long-time customers of Starbucks. We spend a lot of money at Starbucks, and it is our right to get our money's worth when redeeming our stars for a free drink. If we want to get a drink with 10 shots, that is our choice. A barista shouldn't be complaining about something like that. Making customer's coffees exactly how they request it to be made (all customizations included) is their job, especially when working for a coffee shop that welcomes customizations. The barista complained that we ordered such a complicated drink when it was so busy, but how are we supposed to know how busy it is when we order in advance through the app? That is what Starbucks urges us to do after all. In addition, it is even more aggravating that in a time when so many companies are struggling to stay on their feet, somebody has the audacity to complain about their store being too busy. If anything, she should be extremely thankful that the store is getting so much business. Our drinks were delicious, but we may be taking our money elsewhere to a coffee shop that respects...
Read moreI love the look of this location. But I have some issues with their staff. I frequent Starbucks, I actually go to various Starbucks locations several times a week. This location however I've experienced a few issues recently. First, I sent my significant other with instructions on exactly how to order our drinks, as our diet requires very specific sugar intakes. He ordered an Espresso Macchiato, which is nearly half the price of a Caramel Macchiato, and also has dramatically less sugar. The rang up and made a Caramel Macchiato without caramel drizzle. Ummmmm......? Second, I usually order from the Mobile app, and I usually order about 8ish minutes in advance, which my order is usually very consistent and even during their busiest time of the day, shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to prepare, however every time I order from this location, I end up having to wait about 5 minutes for my order to be complete, while other locations have my drink sitting there waiting for me. Third, I game to this location once at 5:45am, shortly after they opened, I understand that is early, but if you are open, you should answer your speaker when someone comes to the drive thru, I sat at the speaker for about 5 minutes before leaving. Thankfully, this location and the location at 135th and Blackbob are about the same distance from my house, that location is much better...
Read moreAs far as drink quality this is a pretty consistent location. But I say 3 stars because it is one of the SLOWEST Starbucks I have ever been to. The drive thru is so slow, I find myself often waiting 15+ minutes in the drive thru line. So I decided to start going in thinking it be quicker because NO ONE is ever inside in line. Well I was wrong 3 times in a row now the drive thru line beat me. It's consistently at least 12+ mins for a drink here. And they always excuse it "oh we hit a snag" or " sorry someone ordered a frappuccino and those take time." OK they may take longer than some drinks but I have ordered frappuccinos on several occasions for my daughter and have never had it set back the orders 12 minutes or more.
I continue to go to this location as I said it is the most consistent with quality of the drink. If you go to Starbucks frequently you know what I mean. Most of the locations in Ks and MO are inconsistent on the taste and quality of their drinks.
HONESTLY ALL LOCATIONS COULD USE EFFICIENCY AND ACCURACY TRAINING!!! I get so frustrated as some location when I know how to make the drink (never worked at a Starbucks) better than the barista. It is even more infuriating when they argue with you...
