I called a week in advance for a donut order. I called the location on Santa Fe and the gentleman I spoke with assured me that even though I called the wrong location that they would get the order to a closer location and that it happened frequently. I initially ordered two dozen donuts but called back about 15 minutes later to change it to one. As I was speaking to the gentleman on the phone I double checked the date to make sure it was correct and I thought everything was a go. Imagine my surprise when I showed up at the location I requested and was told that they had no record of my order and suggested I drive to the other location. I drove another 10 minutes to the Sante Fe location I initially called, thinking that I was partially to blame for calling the wrong location. Again, imagine my surprise when I get there and they have no record of my order either. I was told they had sent an order the day before the K7 location which was the one where I requested they be sent. The Sante Fe location only had 9 of the requested donuts I had ordered left and so I substituted with three more. The woman who worked there added an extra donut for free but considering my time and driving around I was a little disappointed. Yes, the donuts are good, just don't order them a...
Read moreUpdate: they finally got back to me today. They’re having issues with staffing due to covid like we all are. All we ask is communication to know what’s going on. I appreciate them responding.
They have the second best donut I’ve ever had so that’s the ONLY reason I return despite their garbage customer service. The biggest problem I have with KC Donut Co is lack of communication. There’s no warning when they’re closed. There’s no response when you call or message them to attempt to make sure they’re open. They just simply IGNORE their customers. It’s beyond infuriating. I’ll consider changing my review if they ever decide to respond to me and do a better job managing their company. They closed today and nothing but a sign on the door. Stop wasting people’s time and post something on your Facebook or really any place we can check your...
Read morePre-Pandemic, KC Donut was my go-to. Nice selection, good taste. I’m giving two stars because for the first time in months, I planned to grab a dozen donuts on my way home for my husband and kids. Driving by to find a parking spot, I see multiple customers inside without masks at all. I’m surprised they aren’t enforcing the mask mandate, until I notice the employee at the counter with their mask hanging down below their chin. Y’all. This is a place where they serve food. If they are willing to cut these kinds of food-safety corners in the middle of a global pandemic, it just makes me question what else they find unimportant to the health and safety of their customers. I’m pretty bummed, but this makes me really uncomfortable serving these donuts to my family. I’m not angry or anything, just really really...
