STREET TACOS — Restaurant in Olathe

Congratulations, you’ve found the place. If you know you know. Everybody loves Street Tacos. The only downside of eating at Street Tacos is that any time you’re eating at a different taco place, you’ll wish you were eating at Street Tacos. Friends will insist that I come try their favorite taco place, and it’s never as good as Street Tacos. Not even close. This has happened to me multiple times.

At Street Tacos, the meat is tender and flavorful, the portions are VERY generous, the service is great, the tortillas are soft and warm, the salsa is fresh, the drinks are cold, the pastries are sweet, and the prices are reasonable, especially on Tuesday.

I lament the time before I discovered Street Tacos. When I am old and gray, and twilight is upon me, I want to eat my last meal at Street Tacos. I can't believe I have driven past this place for years and never stopped in. Finally, yesterday for lunch I decided I wanted to try something new for lunch and went for it! The woman behind the counter was so nice and spent time explaining everything on the menu. I eneded up ordering the Doraditos tacos! The meat was so flavorful and fully loaded! I will say there wasn't as much cheese as other restaurant's birria tacos but it helps really showcase the meat! Both the green and hot salsa were delicious! My total came to 16 dollars for 4 tacos and a Gatorade. There is limited seating but it seems like most the traffic is for to-go orders. It did take about 15 minutes to get my food but the woman who took my order was also the one who cooked it. Not impressed at all, for someone who knows authentic Mexican food, the tacos needed flavor. There are in a small double tortilla and plenty of meat, but again no flavor. Each taco is $2.50 and comes with Onion and Cilantro. When you walk in it looks cloudy with the cooking and used if the griddle, they need exhaust fans or more ventilation. Ceiling looks dirt and greasy. False advertisement of their website as of what the offer as far as Mexican sweet bread. They only had about 5 options, and some that didn’t look fresh.
