Awesome place! We stayed in NJ for a week and found this place to have a breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. The place is not fancy but welcoming. Both the lady and the man were very nice and friendly. I ordered veggie omelette and asked to add mushrooms which they did no problem. The omelette came out perfect. Not dry, not watery, just right! You can taste that the man cooks with love. I think he is the owner but I’m not sure. It takes a bit longer than regular diners which shows that he prepares each dish just for you to make it perfect. The potatoes were delicious as well. We also ordered French toasts. It was also very good. I only wish they had maple syrup instead of regular one but it’s not a big deal. The unbelievable part is that it was under $25 for that amazing breakfast, which I thought is impossible nowadays. We love it so much we came back one more time in a day and ordered another 2 veggie omelettes which were just as good as my first. So they are consistent with their quality. So yes, I highly recommend eating here. I didn’t try lunch or dinner but breakfast...

We went to Evan's Restaurant tonight as we've been craving Greek and haven't been able to find a great restaurant. When Google searching, this place came up, so we took a chance. There were only a few people in Evan's when we arrived, so service was super speedy. We split the hummus and then each ordered a Gyro: I got chicken and my husband got beef. This place is everything we needed it to be. Super unassuming but fantastic food. When we received the hummus, the pitta was warm, the hummus was cold, and it was so tasty. The gyros are HUGE! We couldn't finish it. It's like getting a sub. I also ordered fries with it but couldn't finish them since the gyro was so big and bursting with flavor. We told them we've been looking for a great Greek place since we moved here - and they gave us a to-go menu and said that you can always order pick-up (which we'll definitely do this summer). SO GLAD we found this place and HIGHLY recommend Evan's. THe only thing is that the parking lot is super small and you need to back into the road to get out - but...

Sooo..I'm not sure why my Sundays are not quite the same if I don't make my normal ritual visit to this establishment . But they're not !! I just wish they would open at 5am so I could start every day off like my SUNDAYS ,,, hint hint :) Great service from this family owned and operated restaurant !! And I mean RESTAURANT.... From Breakfast thru Dinner the menu doesn't quit !! TRUE Greek cuisine..at its finest !! And A little bit from every other countries menu' ... NOT SURE what I had the other evening because I called on my way home from work and wanted to take a recommendation from one of the hostess owners ..... WELL..it was one of the best Chinese dishes I ever had !! And it probably wasn't even Chinese . Go figure So don't go thru the Matawan/Aberdeen/Oldbridge area without visiting Because just like me ... u will be hooked !! I recommend Evans to everyone and they always rise to the Occasion . I really wish YELP had a different way to score establishments because EVANS should really have a lot more stars...

I wanted something quick so ordered take out from Evans Restaurant since I heard really good reviews from my friend. What we ordered: I ordered a fried egg sandwich with turkey bacon. The bread was extremely fresh and soft. The sandwich was delicious. I didn’t taste any egg shells in my food. I also ordered a side of cheese grits. That was good as well. Nice consistency and very filling. I added some salt to my grits. My friend ordered pancakes and turkey bacon which he often gets. He said everything was delicious. He received 3 nice size pancakes. They looked fluffy. We had enough utensils, napkins, ketchup, syrup, and butter. Will we return: Absolutely, the food and service was good. Very easy to place order over the phone. The pick up was very quick. The price point - you cannot beat it. I was satisfied with my meal and price point.

Over the past year or two, we’ve eaten lunch at Evan’s more than we’ve eaten anywhere else in the area, perhaps combined. Exceptional Greek food, plus a giant menu of everything you might expect from a quality diner. We’ve ordered omelettes, salads, soup, gyro, kebabs, and wraps. All very good, and very consistent. Evan and his family run the place, and my fiancée and I feel like welcomed members of the family every time we’re in. Highly recommended.
