Very nice Chili's location in the center of Oldsmar! After residing in nearby Palm Harbor for nearly six years, I finally got an opportunity to visit this location twice. The first visit was my least favorite; dinner at six o'clock on a Saturday night is always a little chaotic anywhere in Florida. The restaurant was quite busy and the service a little slow. It seemed to take extra long time to receive our dinner, after ordering. Again, it was Saturday night, in prime time. My partner and I both ordered our favorite Chili's burger, the Old Timer with Cheese and fries. The burgers were good, but both of us agree we've had better. My second visit was a week later on a Sunday afternoon with my partner and good friend. Naturally, the restaurant was much calmer. Our server, Sean, was excellent and immediately started our lunch off with a warm welcome and fantastic personality! Sean was very patient and helpful while we ordered (my friend is not the easiest person to deal with!!) Throughout our lunch Sean provided superior service and checked on us frequently. My partner and I both ordered our new, absolute favorite entrée, Chicken Crispers. He gets the regular/original and I love the Honey Chipotle. Both of our entrées were delicious! Our friend ordered the half-rack of ribs and really enjoyed her lunch, too. Although we enjoyed both visits to this Chili's location, the second visit was most certainly the best. This Oldsmar location is located directly on Tampa Road at Forrest Lake. The restaurant and dining area were immaculate and well maintained. From my observation, the exterior of the building indicates the restaurant is not brand new. However, the dining room and bar area have been remodeled and upgraded to the "new" decor and motif. In my travels across the nation, I've never experienced an unpleasant experience at Chili's. After visiting this location, the " tradition " continues! If you're in the Oldsmar area, I highly recommend this...
Read moreMy family and I came here with some of our friends for dinner. Our server (Mark) only made an appearance twice, which was to take our order, and then when we were getting ready to pay and leave. My wife’s appetizer salad came out but we were still waiting for our friends soup to come, only to find out from a different server that he didn’t even put the soup in after we ordered it. Once our food came out one of our friends meal was completely wrong so she sent it back. After about 15 minutes of waiting for them to fix her boneless chicken wings I went to find our waiter to see if he knew a ETA on her food. He got very sarcastic saying, “well that’s the kitchen not me”. Towards the end of our meal, our server came by to ask us if we needed boxes, while he was there, my wife was trying to tell him that our bill was wrong because there was food on there that we didn’t order. Before my wife could finish he completely cut her of saying, “yeah yeah I know i was gonna take that off”. The problem I had with that is, we were about to pay, so if we didn’t notice that then we were going to pay for it. Then my friend tried to tell him that he was charging us $10 for chips and queso when we only got chips and salsa. Our server proceeded to make a completely rude face and go “pffft* it’s not $10 it’s $7” while I was staring at the bill with it saying $10. Mark was extremely rude, disrespectful, and had a huge attitude problem.
Thankfully the manager Tammy was able to fix the problem. Tammy was great, super kind and understanding. She fixed the problems with the bill and calmed down the whole situation. Thank you Tammy, you definitely prevented the experience from being worst then what it...
Read moreThere are restaurants that, in my opinion, are still in pandemic mode. Chili's is one of these. A year ago at 5.00p on a Saturday afternoon Chili's would have been packed, our group treated to a 30 min wait for those still dining. This particular Sat, July 3rd, 2021 the place was nearly empty. The servers, bartenders were still wearing masks. Elsa was chugging toward the Carribean with Florida in it's sights. The vibe was a familiar one; being the last person in a dumpy beach bar before a killer cat5 strikes. Everyone gone, you keep thinking you have somewhere else to go. But where? Then the waiter shows up. First drinks. We order 4 soft drinks. We also order something like a blooming onion but it turned out to be chopped up onion rings served in a small metal basket with watered down ranch dressing. A disappointment for 4 big eaters. Then the main meal. I got a burger and a bowl of chili. Both tasty and filling. No complaints. No complaints with the waiter either who was quick on the refills. My mom asked for a box for her nachos that sported beef and cheese on top. And my granddaughter had a pasta dish which she finished while texting friends. Chills just doesn't live up to it's former glory as the cool new place to eat. Then my dangerous friend, Juan el Diablo walks in with two brutal looking women. Before the fun begins we beat a...
