Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Oldsmar

I am a very patient person but this place sucks!! The service is always slow, but tonight was the worst. I went to grab a late night meal from the drive thru prepared to sit and wait but as I drove up the person in the drive thru said they couldn't get to me at the drive thru for another 20-25 mins. I needed to come inside in order to get served. Now this was annoying... but I went Inside anyhow. Once I wall in there was a visible amount of people but nothing crazy to where the drive the couldn't be operated. I've worked at busy fast food places and never turned people away because we were busy in the store. It took another 15 mins before someone took our orders another 30 minutes before we got served and another 15 to cash out. I was super patient with everyone but the service was bad. There were 5 visible employees one of which was super frustrated with not having what he needed to do his job and the other I saw scratching his butt from the counter. The manager/lead/supervisor I'm guessing since he wore a bright red shirt and dressed differently from everyone else told us the "systems went down" when we got in there and he looked like he didn't know what the heck he was doing. Customers were waiting in line and he took the only working register trying to figure out a cash issue. He didn't even acknowledge one person just stood there looking very stressed and confused about the money. He was taking money out the register then putting it back in, it was clear something wasn't right. The person on the register inside also worked the drive thru and continued to tell people for the almost hour we were there to come inside. By this point nothing was truly that busy to tell every customer at the drive thru to come inside the restaurant. There are one guy that tried to help the best he couldn't but he just wasn't in a place to set him up for success. The corporate office needs to make some serious changes to this place. I've come here on multiple occasions and each time its worst than the last. However this particular night (12/7/2018) around 12am-1am the place was at it's all time worst and it showed. Everything about this place screams bad management. Nothing ran efficiently and everything was dirty including the tables, kitchen floors, and kitchen area. This is my first time going inside this place in years, I mostly go through the drive thru, but this is my last time visiting this place. It's a complete and utter mess. I'm sorry for the employees who work there that are trying to deliver some sort of customer service but Corporate needs to intervene and do something about this location it's really bad.

The only reason I am giving this place 1* is because of JAKE, the server, who was very attentive, courteous and helpful. The food (which is not his fault) was inedible close to disgusting. I was there almost 4 hours past midnight, eating a burger dinner and an early breakfast, as well as working with my laptop. This place needs either a new cook or better food supply company. The "Wisconsin" burger was floating on a pond of oil, I had to as Jake to give me anther plate to transfer the burger to a new dry plate. He said the soaking grease on the plate was the butter, not right, I am a single father and used to use butter to cook sometimes, the butter tends to burn not to become a thick oily abundant liquid. I ate only the content since the top bread part was also extremely greasy. Later, I ordered breakfast (option 2, I think), over-easy eggs, hash browns, sausage and biscuit. I could only eat the biscuit and the eggs. The sausage was a saggy sort of uncooked thin thing and the hash browns were a mass like some old mash potatoes warmed in a microwave. What a disappointment. I had a previous not great experience like 2 or 3 weeks before for breakfast but I thought it was just a bad day. This was the confirmation that this place is not to come back ever.I am leaving with a horrible taste...

The old lady with the short haircut was very rushy and I was tryna tell her that it’s call fried onions that I want on my burger instead she gave me grilled onions when I politely ask her for fried and it look like they just threw the sandwich together any type of way I had also ask her for barbecue sauce she gave me a container of barbecue sauce that I never got before usually I get the barbecue sauce that’s sealed up to where you peal it open and I was asking her why did she give me that other barbecue sauce if you knew you had the other one she gone say “cause the other one 50 cent “ but aren’t they both barbecue sauce that makes me wonder were you tryna give me some nasty barbecue purposely do anything just throwing me around any type of way and she told me she’s the owner and I never ask who she was and she said don’t come back I wonder is she discriminating , usually when you ask for barbecue sauce from steak and shake they always give the 2nd one on the 2nd picture but she told someone not to come back to that nasty steak shake nobody was even in that line anyways so who your hurting there’s plenty of other respectful clean, patient people and other...
