I was at the drive-thru window when one of the workers walked up to the drink machine. He had a cup in his hand and was drinking from it. Then he proceeded to pour whatever it was out of the cup. Next, he scooped some ice from the ice bin using the same cup that he already put his mouth on. It was so repulsive seeing this young man expose customers to such unsanitary behavior. Since it was at night, I did not bother asking for a manager at the time. Instead, I contacted corporate immediately the next morning. The lady that I spoke to over the phone took note of my complaint, and I also gave her my contact information. I told her I definitely wanted an update about the action that was taken to resolve this issue, and she confirmed that I would receive a phone call from the restaurant manager within a week. It's been a month, and I haven't heard anything since the complaint was filed. I've since contacted corporate a 2nd time, and I was told that I would receive yet another call-back. I'm still haven't received a phone call. I am beyond hurt and upset that I have spent my hard-earned money on Captain D's for years, only to have my complaints ignored, not only by this local restaurant, but by corporate officials as well. I will no longer be eating at this Captain D's location or any other location. As a customer, my business nor my safety was valued, and this establishment really doesn't deserve the 1 star that I was forced to give.
I'd like to thank you for reaching out to me. I know that you mean well, but this incident happened a whole month ago, and I gave all of the details to the corporate representative in Nashville on Saturday, July 27th, the morning following the incident. If you'd like to take any additional action, everything was noted in my original complaint. I don't mean to be rude, however, I should't have to harp about public safety. I've already reached out twice about this incident, and will no longer push the issue. I really didn't want to write a bad review, but all of my other efforts were ignored. Additionally, you're apology means a lot, but there was an ample amount of time given to call me back, before making this review; the best apology that you can give is changed...
Read moreFood tasted good and the service was decent . Order was messed up,we were given only 1 grilled fish instead of 3 that were ordered and were given the regular battered dipped fish instead of our grilled fish. The order was fixed, but had to wait longer,do to more having to be cooked.
Suggestion to corporate: Please give a meal option of something with low/no sodium (500mg or less) I check the nutrition on the fish after we had ordered and had already sat down to eat. It had been a long day. I normally would have checked before we came.
Be warned if you have high blood pressure even the grilled fish and rice are loaded with a ton of salt.(Thankfully I only ate 1 piece of fish) This 1 meal had over 1000mg of sodium closer to 2,000(2,000 mg of sodium is the limit for everyone per day )and this 1 meal had very close to the limit for an entire day for 1 grilled lemon pepper white fish(450mg salt),white rice(540mg salt),steamed broccoli florets(20mg salt),okra(okra was also loaded with salt(470mg salt),which I didn't eat thankfully & 1 bread stick. The bread stick(150mg salt) was healthier than the...
Read moreI visited Captain D's 6111 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Tonight I ordered the 10 pcs Family Fish Dinner and was shocked by what I received. The fish is no longer filets—it’s now just fish sticks. On top of that, the price has skyrocketed. At $43, it feels like I’m paying filet prices for a fraction of the product. Honestly, it’s comparable to when drug cartels cut their product down to a third of what it used to be a few years ago.
I’ll admit, the taste is still good—Captain D’s has always delivered on flavor—but the value simply isn’t there anymore. The job of any business is to attract and retain customers, and part of that means keeping the product consistent. Just like in a relationship, you should keep doing the things that made people fall in love with you in the first place.
At this rate, families won’t be able to afford to dine out or pick up meals if prices keep climbing while portions shrink. Captain D’s, you risk losing loyal customers by changing what made...
