Clementine's Victorian Restaurant — Restaurant in Olmsted Falls

Took my mother for lunch. Cute atmosphere and the menu had several nice options. Seated quickly but that's where the service began to decline. The girl waiting on us was on her phone sitting in the other room. After requesting menu's, I had to get up and request to have our order take. Later we wanted to order desert and requested if we could order from the attached bakery. After being told we could, the server just walked away without supplying a desert menu or even attempting to take our order. After 10 minutes i went downstairs to look at the available deserts and then had to interrupt the server once again to ask if she could take our order. Had to later approach her about our bill and then again about taking our payment. It was at this time she informed us she was busy picking out her senior pictures. Lol Then i was charged a 3% credit card fee without being informed beforehand. As for the food, we both ordered the club on sourdough bread. The bread didn't look like sourdough but was confirmed by the kitchen that it was. The bread wasn't toasted and felt rather wet and soggy. I've never had a club sandwich NOT toasted. The amount of gummy bread was unpalatable and severely underwhelming. We ended up disassembling our sandwiches and eating only half. The kettle chips were really good and the carrot cake fabulous. I would like to give this establishment a better rating, but feel the 3/5 is well deserved given the soggy sandwich, lack of service, and rather brusque manner of the hostess. Hopefully we caught them on an off day, but I rather doubt it.😕 Sadly not...

We had our daughters baby shower at this establishment, we were supposed to have the room from 12 - 3 pm. It was supposed to be high tea. Everything felt rushed, the waitress came around 1 time with our choice of hot or iced tea. Never came back to refill anyone's cup. The food was good but terribly small portions, at $22. Per person we should have got more food and drink. We paid $ 200. To hold and reserve the room for our guests, i thought the $200. Would be applied to the bill as everyone ordered food. You dont normally pay to sit in a restaurant on top of paying for your food. My daughter had asked for the total while reserving the room and ordering the cake ect. And was given a total amount, when we got the check the total she was given was Before tax! When you ask for total literally anywhere its the total amount due! The waitress had pointed out the door at the back of the room and said feel free to use that door so your guest don't have to walk through the restaurant to get to our room. Later as guests were taking pictures some went outside for a better picture, the waitress became very irritatable and kept telling everyone to shut the door! She became huffy and very rude, she started clearing tables when ppl were clearly not done, she grabbed my ice tea when I wasn't finished with it and this was at 2pm, we still had the room for an hour! The food here is delicious, I would recommend going for a meal. I would Not recommend hosting a party here. I had my baby shower and the lack of communication was very disappointing. Con: We reserved and paid for both rooms upstairs, but they double booked the second room and then tried gaslighting us telling us we didn't reserve, only to find our payment for that room later on. Pro: they did give us a discount on the catering bill and refunded the money for the back room. Con: They told us that reserving the upstairs has a 30 person minimum, but the room only really fits 32 people comfortably. The stress of trying to get enough people to RSVP without over-inviting was Difficult because of this. I invited more people counting on some to RSVP no, but everyone ended up coming. Because of this, we booked the second upstairs room, but when they overbooked it, we were all stuffed in one room and it was way overcrowded and uncomfortable. Con: We weren't allowed to bring in any outside bakery items since they have a bakery. So we tried calling several times to talk to the baker on how we wanted the cake to look, but they never called back and the cake was Very Disappointing. The lettering looked sloppy.
