It was my first time trying Wild Child. The food was a huge improvement on our experience of their predecessor. They have a limited menu. The cost came to about $25 for food and a drink. This restaurant has a GF bun available for all their burgers. I did not try the bun this time. I instead got the pulled pork fries which came on a bed of their delicious french fries, they add super succulent pulled pork with a house made BBQ sauce (GF) topped with melted cheese and red onion. My Mom who is a pescatarian got the fish and chips which comes with fries and house made tarter sauce. The fish was delicious and flaky. I will say that the food service was not speedy. Later, I also ordered the garlic fries. They were really good with a sprinkle of Parmesan on top. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond.

Wild Child has some amazing food options on their new menu, I got the Bacon Jam Burger and it was PHENOMINAL. They also have a gluten free bun available for any of their burgers, and they are quite aware of allergens, and were able to confirm which of their items could be made gluten free. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, while still having that "local pub" vibe. We also got some drinks, including a flight of some options they have on tap, and they were all great. If you are looking for a good place to get a great burger or sandwich and drinks, especially if you're having a hard time finding a good gluten free option, this place is a great pick!

What a great live music experience! We went to see Advance Base at Wild Child, and it did not disappoint. We got food before the show and highly recommend the wings—they were delicious. Seating at the venue was scarce, so be sure to arrive early. The sound quality was excellent, and the show felt intimate with the close quarters and ambient lighting. We will definitely be back for future shows, and as you can see, they have plenty throughout the month! A great new addition to Olympia—thanks, Wild Child!

Food was great tbh BUT

Myself, the members of my band, the sound guy, and members of the other bands we played with here were very disappointed by the poor communication and lack of professionalism from the venue staff.

The sound guy was given different info than us about when load in was. Our booking people gave the venue the same info that we were told, which means that somewhere along the line, the venue management must’ve given the sound guy the wrong info.

Speaking of, the venue manager(?) straight up left the building before any sound check happened, so there was nobody there to really supervise anything or manage the door/take tickets,,,,, you know… to make sure that we can get PAID as musicians and audio professionals. Otherwise people would just be able to walk in for free.

This was not communicated to us ahead of time, and while it’s not a big deal for us to have someone manning the door while the other bands are performing, it’s certainly a task to suddenly have to coordinate who’s gonna do it while their band plays, and again…. As it stands with the way the show gets organized here; that is the only form of accountability that makes sure everyone gets properly compensated for their labor.

Also not a huge deal, and I don’t expect to be just handed free stuff for being a performer of the night, but the sound guy told us that we could get some food and drinks comped, which most other venues we have been to have also done for us. Nobody from the venue management communicated that to us, and so we ended up spending money on our food that, I guess, we probably didn’t have to. They’re already making us pay them to play here anyway, might as well help the kitchen staff get paid, I guess. Again, not something I automatically expect nor feel entitled to, but it’s hard enough financially to be a touring musician these days, and I really do appreciate when venues put in…… any…. effort to assist us in putting on a show and making an event of the night. We did not experiences these courtesies from the management of Wild Child.

I would like to emphasize, as well, that the kitchen staff, and the sound guy they hired here, all seem to be doing excellent jobs, and certainly exhibiting the professionalism that gives us confidence in the quality of the place. My feeling is that the issue here is really with the higher management/owners/organizers/etc. I truly have zero complaints about the food, the kitchen staff, or the atmosphere here.

Considering that we are a touring group, we simply felt that the professionalism was not there from the venue management, and in the event that we come through Olympia again, we certainly will not be planning on booking another show at Wild Child.

It’s a shame too, considering most of the other reviews on google of this place seem very positive, but I feel it important for people to be aware of the lack of professionalism, communication, and care that the management at Wild Child has shown to the musicians who have worked very...

I don't typically go out of my way to write good reviews for restaurants but I definitely felt compelled to here! We just came in because it is open until 10 and other places were closed but seriously EVERYTHING I had here was delicious! I was very surprised by just how good this place is! The Stout i had was great, the wine my partner had was great, the honey hot chicken was DELICIOUS even the fries were really good! Everything i tasted here wasn't just good, I actually said "wow" with everything I tasted because of how NOTABLY good it was!

The atmosphere here is really nice and our waitress was also wonderful. I had had a rough day and this place made it all better! I live in Seattle but I will absolutely be going out of my way to come back again! Thanks so much for the delicious food and drinks and a...
