402 Eat + Drink — Restaurant in Omaha

I just want to say this place is despicable! They undervalue employees i personally know how bad they treat their employees.. At first this place seems like a good place to eat, after working there and experiencing first hand how they do things- I will NEVER go again. I strongly advise not going here to eat ever. It scares me that I have even ate food from 402. Never again. I worry for people who have been eating there and don’t even realize how disgusting the food they eat is- you really can’t tell by just looking- until you’ve seen behind the scenes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE TRUST ME. Everyone deserves to know these things before eating there. Trust the bad reviews we speak the truth!! Again if you understand the value of proper sanitation and proper food preparation you will not eat here and support the unhealthy unethical steps they take serving the people that come in. They do not care about customers health they truly only care about getting money. I urge the employees still there to stand together and do something about the mistreatment and disgusting things that happen behind those kitchen doors. Protect your health and respect yourself enough to not even give them a chance. They do NOT deserve it. Keep what I have shared in mind!! Oof, we came hungry and ready to eat. The menu is filled with items that sounded amazing. The Brussels sprouts were out of this WORLD!!! Unfortunately that was the ONLY thing me and two friends agreed was the best thing of the night. First I’d like to say I judge a place by its ranch. If your ranch is terrible you already have a low score with me. The ranch was bland and had NO ranch flavor what so ever… again another thing the 3 of us agreed on. We even kept dipping our fries in the ranch in hopes our taste buds were just needing a little waking up…. NOPE we ended up having to use our ketchup which was beyond disappointing…..Next I should have known to not get a Reuben from a place that doesn’t specialize in them but I had a taste for one. It was bland and the thousand island sauce was just as disrespectful as the ranch was with absolutely no flavor or anything similar to thousand island….my friend got a burger she said it was ok, and my other friend got the spicy chicken sandwich, which she wasn’t impressed with at all. She didn’t even finish it. Over all our server was great however yall need to do something about your bland tasteless ranch and other sauces you use because honey those were fails. Keep what you are doing with the Brussel sprouts because those are probably the #1 best...

I loved this place. The service was excellent; I believe his name was Mike from Manhatten, NY. He was on top of things and very friendly and informative. We ordered the meatballs for appetizers, and they were spectacular; great flavor, soft and moist on the inside with lots of sauce and a couple hunks of bread to use for the extra sauce. We split the burrito fuego, which was also amazing. The outside tortilla was a little crunchy with the inside full of veggies and pulled pork. It was indeed "fuego"- spicy but not over the top for me. We got truffle fries with it; no shortage of the truffle flavor which I love. The sauce that came over the fries was delectable. With those 3 items. both my husband and I were adequately full. The only thing that would keep me from giving this a 5 star rating , IMO the wine was somewhat over priced at $12 a glass. I know things are getting expensive, but I think $9 is good, but $11 is most I like to pay unless it is really something special.
