China Star — Restaurant in Omaha

we started going there a few months back when our fave chinese place closed off 84th and Center. last night was the topper! if you aren't mexican and you don't have a lot of unruly bambinos, you won't like this place. mexican kids and their parents are loud and have no social filter at all! kids run around unchecked by parents who take a hands-off approach to parenting, and of course staff don't say a word to the parents. none of the staff speaks english...just try asking them for a knife. they are not friendly and don't even thank you for your business when you leave. i'v heard staff talk loudly to each other across the dining room, which sets a bad example for some customers. i didn't go in there to have staff or customers interrupt my meal and make the dining experience miserable, but that's exactly what happens virtually every time i've gone there! the food is ok but not worth all the hassle you will go through to eat there...unless you are a friend of Jesus ... you know ......

If I could give negative stars I would!!!! Their "sweet and sour sauce" was orange, and tasted like watered down orange crush soda. Good luck figuring out what is what??? They suck at labeling their food. Their low main noodles had a fishy taste, the other white noodles also had a fishy taste. None of the food was hot. The teriyaki chicken on a stick was rock hard, dry, and look like it had been there since last week. I couldn't even eat a fourth of my 1 plate I got. The lady asked if there was something I wanted? I said, yes hot food. Everything is cold. So she again asked what I wanted? Said she would make what I wanted. I told her, hot food. So again she said you tell me, I cook. I came to a buffet, so I didn't have to choose a dish I wanted. I just wanted hot food. So she took $3 off of our bill. I didn't eat $3 worth of food, neither of us did. But I paid $15 for water, and a few bites of food. Do not go there!!! McDonald's is better than their food, and I don't really care for...

Very rude staff and very unprofessional. I walked in and the lady was on her phone I stood there at the stand in the front and she looked at me and got back on her phone. She said “you pay after” so I got my plate and starting getting my food, nobody told me where to sit and I went to a table and all of a sudden all the workers ran to me and yelled saying I couldn’t sit there. So I got up sat at a different table with no drink or anything and the server came up and said what do you want to drink and she laughed about it in my face as if my service was a joke to her.
