Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Omaha

Staff is incompetent and rude...

Called in an order and arrived at the quoted time of 30 minutes, was told my order wasn’t ready. waited for 10 more minutes. When I inquired again about the order i was told by the associate that “it was busy”, “there’s been a line out the door since you called” and “I’ve had to fix an ice machine”. Never once did anyone say “sorry for your wait” or even, “we are trying to get to that”. Instead they (all 5 associates) handled every person in line (which was never more than 2 deep in my time in the restaurant) instead of stopping to fix our order. Apparently, I should have gotten in the line myself just so they would have attended to our order. The staff were both incompetent and rude and i will not be returning to this (or likely, any) Dickey’s location in the near future.

I came here because Famous Dave’s was closed and now Dickeys is one of my top favorites restaurants of all time… Famous Dave’s was closed and so we had this place instead and it was so good, that I came back immediately the next day. I have only tried the sandwiches (burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket) but let me just say - wow. The meat was so tender and juicy. & their bbq sauce is the perfect touch to the sandwich. It was heaven in my mouth. I would’ve already been back a third time if it hadn’t been for work, but as soon as I get a day off, you know where I’m going :) their customer service is also hands down one of the best I’ve experienced ever. Their staff is so patient and welcoming. I will say the man taking orders is super nice and cheerful and will put a smile on your face. I just ate at this restaurant one hour ago. The first For 1499 on a three meat combo you should get a drink and not have to buy one. So then once they gave me my meal the mac & cheese they gave me was ice cold I said something to them about it and they gave me another one that was hot. Then my daughter went to eat her brisket sandwich and I went to eat my ribs sausage and brisket. All the meat was cold I asked them if they could Mormon up the microwave for a little bit or something and she said they don’t have a microwave and I said fine I’ll just eat it cold she turned around and continue to fill up sauce cups. The only thing that was hot was my daughters wings. Very disappointed in the quality of food it’s been over a year since I’ve been to this location I have the same kind of experience the last time I will never go back. I will tell you there is other Dickey’s in town and have a great experiences with. The one on Center Street seems to have their stuff together this one...
