Golden Palace Express — Restaurant in Omaha

I had a horrible experience at this establishment. My order of rice was dry n barely any eggs. I contacted them and was told i could bring my order back and they would cook a fresh order. The older lady i spoke to when i arrived was not pleasant to deal with (she was when she was taking my money, so fake)! I explained to her what my issue was with my order. She begins to tell me that what i was saying was incorrect, in so many words. After going round n about on the issue, i decided i just wanted a refund. She refused my request and told me they do not give back refunds. I was taken aback by this. Its ok for her to argue with a customer, but not ok to refund them. I allowed the order to be remade, as i am looking in the back area where the kitchen is. I see a young guy pick up the meat with his hands(no telling where they have been) if u didn't have a fork or spoon available, use a dang chopstick! Smdh!!! The cooks were laughing n looking at me. This truly irratated me, not only can not have a refund but now i have to worry if some shady stuff going on with my order. I brought this to the lady i orginally spoke with attention, she tried to tell me some bull about not having a ticket since the food was a remake and i was not paying for the order. I dont trust the food at this point and it's now going in the nearest garbage. I will be sure my friends and family will not eat there again! For me this place was average at best. We decided to go here based on some of the reviews that we had seen especially One reviewer had stated that this was some of the best crab Rangoon that ever had. I feel really sorry for that guy because he's must have had some really bad crab rangoon before. Not that I would call the crab rangoon bad it was similar to the crab rangoon that you get at Panda Express. I'm okay with the crab rangoon at Panda Express but I wouldn't call it some of the best. If you want to try some of the best crab Rangoon here in Kansas City go to sushi uni. Most of the dishes that I ordered or chicken based such as garlic chicken or chicken lo mein when I got back to my hotel room I found that most of the chicken dishes were almost all vegetable I don't mind some vegetables in my food but when I'm paying a decent price for the food I expect quite a bit of chicken. The garlic chicken actually tasted more like fish and I don't know if they'd just cook some fish in a pan and then cooked the chicken dish right after. For me and my favorite thing of the whole dinner was the chicken fried rice. I do feel like I've got slightly higher standards when it comes to Asian food as I have many Asian family members and I go to quite a few higher in places here in Kansas City. I do not expect these fast food type Chinese places to be as good as many of the restaurants I go to and this one wasn't I don't think I would go back here again. These People Are Ripping you off and you do not even realize it. Thank goodness the Chopstick House exists although it is a bit out my way I will end up going there for all my oriental fix's. I ordered Snow White Chicken and Broccoli Beef I asked for steamed rice for both of the dinner orders and a side of fried rice they asked me what size I said medium. Charged me 33.+ and when I got home and realized I had only gotten one container of fried rice and one container of steamed rice.. When I called to explain my situation the person (the same person that took my order) not only claimed that " This is how the owners tell us to fill the order" They claimed that because I ordered steamed rice with my dinners that the white was was ' combined' into one container. So I explained if that was the case then I am short a half order of rice since a fulll order of rice is one whole container. And the fried was in the same size container. The person on the other end of the phone said this is how we always have done it and no one else complains. I said they may not complain because they do not realize they are getting ripped off. She then asked me if I wanted her to call the owner and complain but that she will tell me the same thing. I am hoping this post will make you think twice before going there with your food order because they do not seem to care about customer concerns even when the customer is right.
