Ninjaa Japan Hibachi — Restaurant in Omaha

Terrible food. I ordered the Hibachi Grilled Steak with the noodle option. The steak was simultaneously tough and mushy. It had obviously sat in marinade too long and was so full of gristle it was inedible. There was no sear to the meat at all like you would expect from a hibachi, it was just a sad grey color.

The noodles were super mushy and oily. There were sparse veggies. One good sized broccoli floweret split into 3 small pieces, one slice of zucchini split into 3, a bit of shredded carrot and quite a bit of onion. The sauce/juice was thin and didn't taste very good.

I also ordered a slice of the Chocolate Overload Cake and it was terrible as well. It tasted of fridge/freezer. No real chocolate taste I could discern. It was dry, hard in some spots and soggy on the bottom.

This was the worst food I can remember ordering ever. The only redeeming quality was the temperatures were right. If someone gave it to me for free I would not eat it. You would do better at any fast food window for a third...

We enjoyed our food and the experience of it being cooked in front of us! Reservations are required though, and I did not see this listed anywhere when I looked up the restaurant on Google or Trip Advisor. I'm not sure how you can add this so guests are aware? It was a bummer to drive across town and not be able to go. We made reservations for the following evening. They require you be there 15 mins prior to ensure you're there on time,which is understandable. We were there well before the 15 mins, but we didn't get taken to our seats until 30 minutes after our reservation. And then it was an hour after our reservation that we finally got any table service. I don't like to leave a bad review, and this isn't a completely bad review because it was good besides all the waiting time. This was our first visit here, I didn't know what to expect but I wasn't expecting to be here for 2 hours...

Only stopped here because of the rave about the quantity for the price. I knew I should’ve stopped when I seen toilets as the chairs in the review pictures(which look like they were found on the curbs, never cleaned and then painted gold🤢)

The door to walk into this place is filthy, the appearance of the restaurant is filthy. 😞 I’m disappointed in myself for purchasing this teriyaki chicken meal. Priced right, sure, but extremely fatty which was so unpleasant. It was nauseating biting into what seemed like a good saucy piece of chicken only to chew into fat. I ended up giving it to a person in need downtown, I’m glad he accepted & had the chance to enjoy a hot meal. Good crab Rangoon, but my mistake for even swiping my card...
