We came during a Sunday brunch rush. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated (which was expected). After being seated, it took the waitress 10 minutes to stop by the first time. She took our drink and food order.
While we waited we noticed the table was poorly bussed. Most of the table top was clean but the back of the table near the wall and the edges of the table were very sticky.
20 minutes after ordering, the waitress came by to apologize for the wait and explained there was a large group before us. We said that was fine and asked how much longer it would be before the coffee would arrive. She left and brought it back immediately and apologized for forgetting it.
When the food arrived, there wasn't a single item that was correct to what was ordered. I ordered the french toast (2 pieces) with a side of bacon (4 strips). What I got was 1 piece of french toast, 2 pancakes, and 2 strips of bacon. I explained the problem and the waitress said she'd get it fixed. A few moments later she came back with a plate with 4 strips of bacon and asked if everything was fine now. I explained again. Now there is too much bacon and a piece of french toast was still missing. 5 minutes later the final piece of french toast arrived.
During the very long wait we could hear the staff announce that there was no more crispy chicken and then a little while later that there was no more whipped cream. Some of the staff then went around and asked if people would like to substitute grilled chicken on their meal while others were saying "we are out of chicken, you can't have the chicken sandwich". This whole experience was like watching a trainwreck unfold.
I don't normally leave bad reviews but now that I am home and sick to my stomach after eating here I am questioning if I got food poisoning from this place. If I did it was either due to the barely cooked, pale, soggy, floppy bacon or the general lack of cleanliness visible throughout this location.
Eating here makes me want to never go back and I'll think twice before eating at...
Read moreThe worst experience ever! Our party of 9 went to dinner there on 11-28-18. We ordered our food and waited and waited. After about 45 minutes, three of us got our food and we're told the rest would be out shortly. After about 25 more minutes and the three that got there food we're finished eating there dinner, went to ask where is the rest of our food. Was told that the manager told the waiter to put in our orders in a staggered order and our food would be coming soon .After about 10 more minutes, about 3 different waiters started bringing out food to us that wasn't what we ordered .They kept going back to the kitchen and bringing out plate after plate of food that wasn't ours .it was too the point that they would just start laying the plates of food on empty tables!! It was if they were hoping that we would just pick a plate. We all finally got our orders and we're told that the manager would be out to talk to us, but that she was in the kitchen cooking. We waited and waited for her to come out and when she did she looked right at me and said, "you want to talk to me??' . I told her that it was not acceptable to serve 3 out of 9 people their food and not get any of the other food for over 20 minutes and so long that the first three were all finished eating before anyone else got their food! The managers response to my concern was, "well it's impossible to serve 9 people at one time". She made no attempt at an apology, no gesture of any discount on our tab, just condescending replies to anything we said. Other customers that came in after us received their food before us also .There was a party of 10 that came in after us and sat close to our table and all 10 in their party we're served before us and they we're served all their food at the same time . You had to have witnessed this to believe it!! ...
Read moreI don’t typically leave reviews and I couldn’t comment about my own experience on the ihop reviews. But coming into the restaurant it was pretty busy. I of course was seated and noticed that only two people were helping all these people, (now this I will let slide because I have been waitress/manager/cook at restaurants before) I assume they didn’t have proper staff, possibly they thought with the husker game it would be a slow night, or they had a ton of call ins. I’ve been there.) our waitress was definitely overwhelmed, but she handled it like a pro, she was still friendly she didn’t show the stress and she did everything for perfect custom service, even offered us an extra drink to take with us for the slow experience. But what really bugged me was the manager on duty, she seemed more worried about the inspection on Tuesday than what was going on in the restaurant… she went to the kitchen and sounded like she was semi yelling at her kitchen staff regarding this inspection on Tuesday, reminding them to change their gloves. But once she was done with that, she was simply back in her office, when she should of been out helping with customers and apologizing for the short staff, helped with seating customers, helped take payments (to help out her two servers) or she could of simply helped the kitchen push orders out faster… but instead she let her staff just handle the large crowd on their own. Unfortunately I’ve seen this multiple time, but as a manager your job is to help your staff and help run a smooth shift, you have to handle the suck with them, and not just let them take a hit. The experience wasn’t bad because of the staff, it was bad because the lack of management that was going on to help...
