I doordashed this place.
Chicken Korma was all white meat and the sweet sauce was a good compliment. Such a refreshing change from the chicken thighs and rubbery bits you come across. Paired with the naan, or what was left of it I really want to try this place fresh. The bread was cut into quarters and seemed to fall apart more in the bag. Disappointing.
I would really like to try the fresh tandoori chunks with just seasoning and a side of sauce. That may sound weird but I think the taste of the chicken was excellent. Roll the chicken in spice, put the skewer in the tandoor and then serve it over rice with a side of sauce.
I did not think this travelled well. The Butter Naan was broken up and in pieces and the kerala peratha, which to their credit they mention is not made there, was really rubbery on delivery. I am not naive to this think that things will be crispy and fresh with delivery. It just did not travel well.
The tikka chicken samosa I thought was insanely good as an appetizer. There were two and I shared one with a co-worker who was amazed. This is a great memory to those who miss the late 90’s and early 2000’s Indian craze where the potato and pea samosa was mixed with tandoori chicken. Not exactly the same but good...
Read moreI came to pick up an order for a uber eat customer. They told me that someone already picked up. Ok thats fine not their fault that the driver stole the order. Whats even more ridiculous is that we had a conversation about remaking order and cancelling order.
At first they told me they will remake part of the order. They go to the kitchen for a few seconds then come back out telling me they if they make part of the order, the customer will rate them badly because of this. Ok so why would you even offer me this option? Then we talked about cancel the order. They told me they will call uber support to cancel the order on their end. Then they told me to leave because they close the store and the promise to call to cancel.
I left the store. Sitting in the car for a whole damn 20 minutes. Only to find out they never call support. Everything is just an act. Why would they do this to me. So they pretended to call support to cancel just to get me out of...
Read moreLittle India, formerly known as Taste of India, is the best Indian restaurant in Omaha. Their new location on Farnam is beautiful and offers a nice dine-in experience. The owner said that the bar service will be available shortly. The owner is very personable and always goes above and beyond with his service. The menu has a delightful blend of classic Indian dishes, each prepared with a perfect balance of spices. I started with the samosas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a savory potato and pea mixture. The butter chicken was the highlight of the meal—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, with just the right amount of heat. Paired with fluffy garlic naan, it was an absolute delight. I would highly...
