I've loved Chipotle since it's inception, so I've been around awhile.
I took my kids and their friends to the location this last Saturday. We got there late afternoon so it wasn't too busy inside. I went thru first to show the newbies how it's done.
It was going great until the young man accidentally split the tortilla of my burrito all the way across. I was, like, "No biggie. Wrap it up as is, I'll take it." But then the boy's training kicked in. I tried to stop him several times, but he was on a mission.
See, I don't like to waste food. His dumping my burrito into a bowl upset me, then he tired to throw the tortilla and quite a bit of rice that was still on the foil away. I finally just grabbed everything out of his hands.
He just could not shake his training and LISTEN to me. I was trying to make his life easier and not hold up the line, but instead we muddled the whole thing, and, I am embarrassed to say, I Karen'ed out a bit. My kids were apologizing for me and the staff was looking at me like I was nuts.
I do not apologize for trying to save time, money, and food by not wanting to waste extra tortillas, bowls, and whatnot. But when I realized the kid was on autopilot, I should have backed off. All I did was confuse the hell out of him. So for that I definitely apologize.
I will do my best to not get so uptight in the future, but it would also be great if y'all would allow your workers to listen to the customer, too. It could save you time and money.
Oh, the rice, both white and brown, were undercooked. We figured it was because y'all were likely quite busy over lunch. Still...
Read moreI don't usually post reviews, but our experiences lately have been extremely disappointing. This Chipotle used to be the best and most consistent location in the city, but it's like the rest of them now - bland food and skimped portions.
We've gone from eating here sometimes 3-4 times a week (to the point where they knew our names and car) to once a week at best because our recent order experiences have been terrible. Within the last month and a half: We were given the correct bag in the Chipotlane, but the bowls inside of it were completely wrong. The next time, our chips were missing from the bag. The next two times we were given 2 oz portions of steak (which looked way more gray than usual) and barbacoa on our bowls rather than the expected 4 oz portions. Yesterday, we used the free entree coupons we were given in response to these earlier issues. We ordered double steak and double barbacoa on our bowls and were given 5.5 oz of barbacoa and 5 oz of steak. This is NOT okay - double protein costs over $5.00 per bowl and we were missing 2.5 oz of barbacoa and 3 oz of steak that we should've been given. That's 35% of the meat!
I track my calories, so I weigh each ingredient individually (from the side cups) when I put my bowl together. Chipotle employees like to argue and act like customers "don't know what standard portions look like", but...we do...and the scale doesn't lie. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere where you don't have to guess what your meal is going to look or taste like that day.
Edit: Oh yeah - adding the sour baby poop guacamole they...
Read moreThis was my second time visiting this location. The first time my experience would be four and a half Stars and the second time will be three and a half. I based this off of Chipotle staff. The food base on taste would get five stars for both my visits. I was there after 2pm before 3pm. My first visit was before 1pm and was a lady with glasses training a new employee and she was really good. The staff that was working and completing the orders and the mobile app area kept busy and were pretty professional but the staff that was preparing your orders when you arrive wasn't too bad but could use a little more training. There was a guy that would prepare and restock the different entrees for the line whom could use some more training on staying focused on tasks as well as the girl at the food counter with him who was openly on her cell phone the entire time we were placing our order. She assisted him a little bit but didn't find the need to sanitize and clean her hands after being on her phone and getting things out of her...
