1/29/22 Today I stopped by the Scooters drive thru at 156th and Maple to pick up a latte for a friend. I asked if they could make a white mocha latte like Starbucks (my friend's preference). I'm a Scooters fan so I thought it was something they could handle and the employee said they could do it. I even tipped extra in appreciation.
I got to my friends house and handed him the latte. One sip and the disappointment on his face was not what I expected. He thought it tasted like dirty water. I tasted it myself and it was horrible. What an embarrassment. I apologized as he dumped it in the sink. I feel like a fool. What a waste of time and money and I let my friend down. What I noticed for Scooter's as a company and a franchise, corporate and management need to educate ALL employees how to communicate with the Deaf. I'm a Deaf customer, and some employees still wear masks which makes it much more difficult. The employee at this drive thru window did not pull down their mask OR didn't even write down the price for the order - just expected us to hand over a debit card/credit card. We handed them a gift card and they still did not communicate the total still owed. I'm not against wearing masks, but please learn to communicate better with the Deaf...
Read moreI went to the Scooters on Maple street last night (Saturday) and girl who served me was amazing. I pulled up through the drive thru, and her, voice, she can be a spokesperson! Since this is only my 3rd time going to Scooters I couldn’t remember the name of the drink I like, after stumbling for a bit she was patient and very helpful, kind and most of all, an amazing personality! Unfortunately I didn’t ask for her name. Does anyone know who worlds last night? I would love to let corporate know how great of a job she is doing. Most employees don’t know or appreciate a great employee. And majority of customers don’t compliment great service at the level of upper management.
