The only reason for the stars is for our waitress. She was very sweet!
We went here for dinner and once again was not impressed. We were greeted at the door which was great! But honestly I only think that was because she was picking up her order from the kitchen and was right in front of us when we walked in.
It took a little bit to get our waitress to us with menus. At first I was getting irritated but once I was there a while I began to see why. Not one other person was helping her really... My husband walked up to the bar to cash in a lotto ticket. One girl sat there at the end of the bar and actively ignored him...did everything possible to look anywhere but at him. One girl was emptying the dishwasher within 5 feet of him. Not ONE word to him. Not a "Can I help you?" Or even a "She will be right with you." Just absolutely no recognition that a customer was even sitting there at the bar. Finally he forced the first girl to take the tickets and cash them in.
When our food came it was less than appealing. I mean it looked good but honestly just bad. My husband's garlic shrimp was over a bed of Spanish rice that was salty and had a strong citrus flavor. The shrimp were okay for this area. Let's face it, it's not fresh so for freezer shrimp it was decent. My prime rib was tasteless. Absolutely no flavor. The cook on it was decent. My biggest gross out was the bacon on my "loaded" baked potato. My potato had sour cream and bacon (no cheese or even butter). Now this bacon was bad. It tasted like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a while or that it was uncovered or something. All I can say is that fridge flavored bacon is not the best topping.
Our waitress did see that we weren't happy with our food and did offer us a different meal but we kindly refused. Why? This is not our first time being hugely disappointed in the food at this establishment. What would cause me to want to wait around for another less than mediocre meal? My dogs don't care that prime rib is tasteless and has no seasoning. They loved my scraps!
I don't believe we will ever be back. A few reasons one goes to a restaurant to eat is to be waited on and to have a meal that is not something you can make better at home. We got one of those at least... Honestly we could have made the same dinner for cheaper and leaps and bounds above what we...
Read moreI have given Brewsky’s 5 stars before because they are one of the 3 places we like to go in town. Usually service is top notch even on their busiest nights and food is always delicious and consistent which we love.
However, when we went last weekend, it was a disaster. I totally understand if someone is newer but they probably shouldn’t be put on a super busy night without help. I have been a server in the past and grew up in the restaurant environment so I definitely understand. I saw the ‘help wanted’ sign in the window so I realize they may be short staffed but tables all around us were getting food first and leaving before we even received our main meal.
I had to ask another waitress if our waitress forgot to put the order in because our waitress was barely seen. The other waitress had to go check. We arrived at 615p and got our main meal at 730pm. We have two small children, 6 and 3 years old, so this is an extremely long time for them to wait for their dinner let alone adults waiting. We received our salads about 645pm which we didn’t 1 Caesar salad, it was all salads with ranch. Our waitress came back later with more salads and saw my husband’s almost finished salad and said the busser messed up the order, took his plate away, and gave him the Caesar.
We miss the old waitresses that used to serve us all the time!! Unfortunately, probably won’t be going to Brewsky’s with the whole family until they get efficiently trained staff especially for the weekend shifts. The other waitress seemed to be doing great which is most likely why all her tables that came in after us finished their food and we’re leaving before we even...
Read moreNot very family friendly environment. We walked in and stood for about 5 minutes before someone finally acknowledged us and said to seat ourselves. As we were walking in a group was walking out because they waited 25 minutes and still had not been acknowledged. Our group of 3 found a place to sit and then we were told we couldn't sit there because this was the "bar area". Not enough signage to indicate children are not allowed beyond a certain point. . We waited about 10 minutes before we were brought menus and our drink order was taken. At which point we were confused who was serving us because all staff were dressed in casual clothing and not a uniform, making it hard to figure out who was staff. The "family" section was very confined and limited to approx 10 tables. When we finally received our food the only impressive thing was the steak it Tasted good but a steak and fries for $15 was way over priced. Also not sure of the a.c. was broken or if they were very conservative about thier ac usage but it was very hot and uncomfortable. We were so hot and disappointed we couldn't finish our meals. During our meal we watched another 2 groups leave because they were never attended to or greeted. A family sat next to us and had to clean their own table with baby wipes because it was never cleaned. My suggestion dont take your family here, if you're out with friends for a few drinks their bar area might be decent. Very disappointed even though it was suggested to us a few times. We will not be returning and would...
