I remember the very 1st time I visited, to celebrate my eldest Sisters Birthday. We had a significant wait time bc it was Sun afternoon abt 11:30A when we arrived on that hot day in May! 🌞 I still recall the waitress who served us, Maria, was a very nice person & very efficient at her job as well! We ea ordered the Mar y Tierra Molcajete & both enjoyed our meal & time together very much! 🥳
So it was a 'no-brainer' when not long after that, I was close by & decided to return & order myself a Chicken salad to go. The young hostess, seemed preoccupied & took my order nonchalantly.., I waited almost 40 mins., then decided to offer to pay for it, in hopes of hurrying the process along, as I was feeling hungry & pressed for time. After she gave me my receipt, she disappeared into the bar & I opted to go wash my hands & as I passed the kitchen on my way back, I asked if there was a Chicken salad ready to go yet? I was told to ask up front, which I immediately did, only to find out the salad was being prepared fresh, thank u..? 😳 So when I did get the salad I was so rushed that I didn't check it then, 😏 which I encourage all of u to do in the future! Bc upon unwrapping it, it was clear, there was no chicken in it!? Oh geez.., 🙄 ..,
What 😕 I thought?! And since I didn't have time to go back, I figured I'd call them to let them know what had happened & was instructed to bring the receipt. I finally had time to go back & the rest of the story is so RIDICULOUSLY funny, I can hardly keep a straight face telling it! When I get there, the same young girl is over by the desk, w/a look of complete ignorance hiding behind her Bollywood makeup! 🤡 & when I asked for the manager.., (3) three people show up, standing in military order (2 men, 1 woman)🕴️🕴️🕴️who couldn't smile for the fear their faces would crack 💔 staring at me with a look of an English butlers 'utter disdain' that I, could come in to demand a replacement of a $12 chicken salad, w/no chicken? Ridiculous! 😑
Needless, to say? Between the three (3) of them, they couldn't come to a decision, despite I had my receipt! Why? Bc I didn't come back w/in (3) days they allow? It was like a nightmare rerun of the (3) Stooges!!! 🤪 I finally decided they could 'stow' their salad..! 😝 I said they could keep my money & left w/o it.... 🤨 "They sho' got some noive!" 😶
Well? Then till now, its actually been a while since I've returned to this restaurant. And may I say, "I'm sorry, Not sorry!" Having read many of their past previous reviews, I've come to believe that for a restaurant of this size to have almost as many negative, as they have positive reviews? Is a real shame, a 😢 crying shame. These complaints.., could be minimized & the Company image would be less tarnished if they just had, consistent Professional management & Happy 😊 employees..; Which I would add, some of their employees are just plain rude, mean & scary! Bombs about to explode?!? 🤯
At the same time however, we all know the, "Merde" as the French would say, only rolls down hill. Which suggests, that it is the Ownership who is truly the one responsable for (most all) of the negative feedback from unsatisfied customers. Hopefully, they will take heed of what so many of their customers are saying! At least try to be a little more interested in satisfying their patrons & maybe slightly less interested in the profits???

Read moreI absolutely loved going here for drinks, dinner, special occasions, football games, baseball games, everything. However, after getting out the emergency room, I decided to meet my best friend for the game after he got my son from school. I get there, after they ordered an appetizer... we asked the waiter to change one TV so we could watch the game. The waiter tried to change it and ended up changing them all to a different game. Including the one we moved tables to watch. I asked again, and I asked to speak to the manager. I see that the manager was upset, the bar manager, yelling at the waiter.. so I got up and limped over to the bar to speak to the manager. I said that I wasn't trying to get him in trouble, I just came here to watch the game. I asked him to change the TV back, and he said no that they are programmed that way. I said, no, they are not because you just changed it. He said that he has it on one screen, which was in the corner of the bar near all of the tall tables. Unfortunately, I am unable to sit at a tall table due to my injury. So I tried to explain that to him. He said that he'll put it on over the surround sound. I said I don't care to hear it, I would just like to watch the game. Even if it's only on that one TV that it was on. He said no. I have it on this one. That he has two parties for the soccer game coming and all of the TVs will be set to that only. Except, the one there in the corner of the bar. I tried to say again, that I just came to this restaurant to watch the game because we love going there. And I would like to watch it while I eat and drink for the food and alcohol that we were paying for. He said he didn't care and that is it! While stating this, he was in my face and very upset and ended up spitting in my face while raising his voice at me. Absolutely disgusting!!! I said fine, we are leaving. I told my party to get up, we are leaving and never coming back. We ate only a few wings and only had waters at our table. I didn't care to walk out after that. They followed us out and threatened to call the police. I said ok, and I will call the police on the manager as well for spitting in my face! So I pulled out my phone and then at that point they wanted to call the other manager. As I was explaining to her, the waiter just kept going on and on about how the manager didn't mean it and it was a misunderstanding. We paid for the food, and we left. I am very sad that we will not be going here anymore. A company should want their customers to feel welcomed. Not that other customers are more important than others. And definitely not raise their voice at them. I only wanted to enjoy the rest of the night after a long day in the emergency room. I may just be one customer that they have lost, but I will not shut my mouth and will tell everyone how they treated a loyal customer. Severely...
Read moreI made reservations on a Tuesday for my fathers 94th birthday, this place was recommended to me, so when I called I was very clear on the phone asking was there a stage for the mariachis as this was a special occasion and needed to accommodate a wheelchair. I called back on Friday to ask if I could bring a cake and they said no problem, again I explained it was a birthday and we’re going for the mariachis. We were seated on the side where they had a DJ, I had no idea the restaurant was split off. I asked the waiter how much longer for the mariachis to start, he told me they do not come on the side of the restaurant we were seated in, I explained to him this is not what I requested and we could not be accommodated at this time. I was so upset that we left, my father had cancer, had just surgery 3 weeks prior. It was a big effort to get my father ready and take the drive. I called on Sunday to give my compliment , spoke with the manager (Lupita) after explaining what happened she took my phone number and was going to have the general manager give me a call. General manager (Ana) called me on Monday gave her the scenario and basically all I got out of her was I should have questioned where we were seated, I explained to her how was I to know the mariachis didn’t stroll on that side and the DJ wasn’t playing when we seated at that time, in fact I didn’t pay attention to the DJ set up. Ana kept telling me I should have asked about the mariachis when seated , I told I made clear when I made the reservation and again when I called on the Friday before and let the waiter know this was not acceptable, this is not what I reserved, all he could say was we could not be accommodated when the mariachis played at this time. He didn’t bother to get a manager even though he knew I was very upset. I told general manager I think we should be compensated for their employees being incompetent when the reservation was made. All she said was she would take to the employees so this won’t happen again, I’m not worried about it happening. I felt their error they should try to make it right. General manager attitude sucks.
