Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Opelika

While visiting from out of town, I was craving my favorite $10 salad.. I googled the closest to my location however their review was only 2 stars but the other just a few miles away was 3.5 stars. I decided to drive out of my way for the better reviewed Zaxby's location. I was less than impressed to say the very least. The drive thru was slooowww and when I finally got to the menu to give my order, the associate behind the "speaker" was not friendly at all. She didn't repeat my order, just spouted off my total and told me to drive forward. It may sound like I'm nit-picking but every other Zaxbys location I have ever been to has always spoken with a smile. You can tell they're smiling because of the tone in their voice.. oh, and "it's my pleasure" is always the signature response.... this location's "customer service" was not so much as "lacking" as it was non existent! Trying to salvage my $10 salad craving, I almost let this go.... wait, there's more! When I finally got ready to eat my salad, I realized I had no silverware or napkins! It's just lucky I had an unopened Wendy's fork and napkins in my car. Still anticipating my first bite, the lettuce was wilted and gritty! At first I thought it was my imagination, so I tried a few more bites... it wasn't my imagination! It was gritty and something else was off but I can't put my finger on it.. I just threw it out.. and yes, I took time out to review this particular location in depth for a reason.....

By far one of the worst zaxby's I've ever been to. We moved from Gulfport, and their zaxby's set a high bar. The service was very poor. The line was very long, and the workers seemed to care less about the service they provided. An employee was at the coloring table for kids night, but it was not clear what she was doing exactly. She went between coloring her own paper and playing on her phone. Never once interacting with the kids. My 2 year old even feel out of the chair right next to her, and she just looked at her crying on the floor and went back to coloring her paper. I had to go back to the counter twice to have my order corrected because I was not given what we ordered. The drink machine was out of certain drinks. I brought it to the attention of the front corner staff, but it was never tended to. The women's bathroom was out of paper towels (another thing told to the front but not tended to). Trash cans were overflowing and the drink station was so dirty and sticky, it was apparent they hadn't cleaned it in a while. We will not be back to this...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came here around 8:30 after a long flight and a 2 hour drive from Atlanta. Me and my friend were denied service after paying & getting out drinks. from the big guy with the afro bc he stated one of the workers said they saw me “throw all that trash on the ground”. He stated “if you pick it up I will serve you” mind you I never threw anything on the ground and he couldn’t even show me where the trash was bc there was none. Could not even give the workers name that supposedly told him that. The staff just blatantly lied on me & refused to serve me. I honestly believe it was because they were closing soon and did not want to take any more customers. I called to speak to management the next day & was offered a free meal which I declined. I had a friend who went recently and the guy still works there. I doubt I’m the first customer they’ve done this to. Probably won’t be the last. Really wished I would’ve recorded the encounter definitely would have gone viral. Just a heads up if you come here at night be ready to be lied on and...
