I purchased a tempur-pedic mattress from mattress firm located in Columbus, GA in May of 2024. The mattress was great but in April of 2025 I noticed there was about a 2 foot long rip in the memory foam of the mattress. Since tempur-pedic advertises a warranty, I submitted a claim through the tempur-pedic website. I received a response a week later that there was evidence of stains & liquid damage in the photos that I submitted of the mattress, so the claim was denied. Other than the tear, the mattress was in excellent shape with no visible signs of damage. I contacted tempur-pedic by phone and they instructed me to submit new photos and that the claim would be escalated. After doing so, the claim was once again denied for stains & liquid damage. I contacted temper-pedic again and requested the claim be reviewed a 3rd time, and once again it was denied and I was told no further reviews would be done. After doing a little bit of research, I found that this is common practice for the tempur-pedic warranty department and they falsely advertise their warranty coverage. Just be weary of the difficulty to get temper-pedic to honor a warranty claim when purchasing a temper-pedic mattress. I reached out to the Mattress Firm store that I purchased the mattress from for guidance with this situation and I was directed to the store manager, Jerri. I explained my situation to Jerri and she immediately told me she would reach out to her district manager or her tempur-pedic rep to see how we could remedy the situation. Jerri kept me up to date on the status of the issue daily and after only a few business days she informed me an exchange on my damaged mattress was approved and that the new mattress would be delivered the following Monday. My new mattress was delivered today and they took the old damaged mattress with them. I can’t say enough good things about the customer service I received from Jerri. I would highly recommend both the Columbus and Opelika Mattress Firm locations based on the customer service I received through them. Read moreDO NOT BUY AT THIS STORE! Started my wife and I came in there to buy a bed. My wife was excited to get a new bed and knew what she wanted. The sales lady was friendly, so I let my wife and her talk. My wife wanted the king size bed and the prices were queen that was on the beds. They advertise “free base” yet somehow we ended up with a base that cost little over $2,000! We were not asked if we wanted an upgrade it was just added and the whole time the sales lady kept saying “free base”. I question the cost difference and the sales lady said it was the difference between queen and king. NOTHING ABOUT THE $2000 BASE THAT WAS ADDED! It was not till my wife came back in to get another mattress did she find out about the base. Then to top it off the finance company did not have our right address and sent our account to collection because we did not pay the bill- can’t pay a bill if you have no idea what company, how much, and where to send it too!
