After years of not coming to this Sonic because of them often closing 20 minutes early or declining to serve different menu items too early or too late (at a chain that claims to serve the full menu all day), I visited this Sonic twice in the past week, and both times I received swift service from a young lady with short pink hair. Though she was pleasant enough, I find it odd that at both visits, the medium Strawberry Cheesecake Blasts, which I ordered both times and which she served me, had no cheesecake bites in or on top of it.
The first time, I hadn’t dug into the blast until after midnight while I was at home, or else I would have returned to get the error corrected; I let my friend have the whole thing that we were originally going to split. The second time, last night 5/24/2021 at 22:20, I tried the blast before getting all the way home and there were again no cheesecake bites mixed in the blast or on top of the blast. When I returned to have this corrected, the pink-haired lady came to my vehicle with a cup of cheesecake bites and asked, “Can I just give you these or did you want me to remake the whole thing?” I said, “Well, it would be better if you remade the blast so I could have the bites mixed in and all.”
The pink-haired lady returned with the blast with cheesecake bites on top, with no apology or acknowledgment of the error. As I ate the blast later, I realized there were again no bites mixed within the blast, only on top. When I first tried the blast a few weeks ago at this location, the bites were mixed in, as advertised by Sonic and as with every other blast’s special ingredient. I’m dismayed that I paid $5.29 for a Strawberry Cheesecake blast, twice, that contained no cheesecake at all, and the second time, I had to struggle to mix the cheesecake throughout the blast with a spoon when I paid this Sonic location plenty for the employees to take 5-10 seconds to use the mixer and mix it properly. Since a different employee at this location previously bothered to include the cheesecake bites and mix the blast properly, I’m inclined to believe this pink-haired girl (who served me both times there were errors, within less than a week) is lazy or untrained. One time I could attribute to mistake but not two.
I will no longer be visiting this Sonic location because I will not repeatedly pay for a service and product that I don’t know whether I’ll receive and use more gas/time/mileage to get the poor service/product corrected every time. I’m willing to tolerate the ugly presentation of the blasts but only if they have all the ingredients...
Read moreThis is the WORST Sonic in the area. Just moments ago, I made a mobile order for a drink and a cup of ice. There were upwards of 6 employees inside (at least 2 eating) and if I can see in, I'm sure they can see out. I checked in on the app and waited. The screen said it was "in the kitchen," then "on it's way!" 3 cars went through the drive-thru and left, but I still had not received my order after having checked in over 15 minutes earlier. I pushed the order button for service and waited a few more minutes for someone to answer, only to hear them say, "Stalls are closed- just drive-thru is open". Like... didn't even ask what I needed. I told the person I had a mobile order and they proceeded to ask me what the order was. You have my money- why don't you have my order? I literally could have said any number of items- I could see inside and no one checked and I wasn't given a receipt. This isn't my first bad experience here, it's just the straw that broke the camel's back. I'll drive to Auburn to get my Sonic fix. Never again at this location. When it did, the carhop didn't say anything to us, just handed us the food, then told us that the the pay at the menu feature didn't work when we swiped our card. I said I needed to check my bank to verify, so I didn't get charged twice. She just turned around and walked away without saying anything. We didn't know if she was coming back or not. We decided to wait so we could make sure we paid for the food, and while we did, decided to have some tots. Good LORD, they were hard as a rock. I picked one up and squeezed it and the whole thing literally exploded and went all over me and my car. When the carhop finally came back, we asked for fresh tots. She just mumbled something took the tots and left. We had to wait for another long time, all the while the rest of our food was getting cold. She finally came back, we said thank you and she just mumbled again and left. We got home and the rest of the food was disgusting. I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance.
