Pedro's Tacos & Tequila Bar Opelousas — Restaurant in Opelousas

first off, i would like to start this off by saying, i mean no harm to the employees at this establishment. i would just like to share my experience. it was horrible! i came here, with three others at around 5. we were not seated until around 7. that is two hours of waiting. and not only that, people were seated before us who had just walked in. people were seating themselves at tables, which is incredibly disrespectful to the staff and the people waiting. when my group and i were finally seated, i noticed numerous people smoking and vaping. this was not only inside, but outside as well when there was clearly a no smoking sign. as someone with asthma, this was incredibly dangerous to my health. there was also an incredibly drunk man who was bothering numerous people at a variety of tables. at the music station, people were swarming onto the stage and the man hosting had to tell them to stop. this brings me to the manager. i don’t know who this person is, but may i just say, i miss the old management. last year, was beautiful. this year, was absolutely disappointing. i was shattered to see how disorganized everything was. in fact, the only nice staff member that was attending to our needs was a girl with hot pink braces. she was very kind!!!!! she deserves a raise!!! the manager on the other hand, was extremely disrespectful to her. he was seating people when it should have been her. it threw off her schedule. lastly, i would just like to say i am in deep disappointment at what i witnessed tonight. i wont be going back, until the manager gets his act together. because tonight, was not it!!!!!!!! and if i could give 0 stars i would’ve, but that’s not possible, so i give u...

There was a sign inside the restaurant. And 1 on the sign outside that says 2 for 1 margaritas from 2 to 7. We asked our waitress about it she said that was only for the small. We ordered 3 small margaritas, a soda, cheese dip, and 2 meals. When I lifted my glass to receive my free margarita, she brought me a larger one. We indicated that we wanted the other 2 free margaritas and they came out larger also. We handed her our card to cash out and was charged 139$. The manager said , we don't do the 2 for 1s on Friday, we just forgot to take the sign down, but the waitress had told us that only the smalls were 2 for 1. He said that the card had already been run and he couldn't fix it. They removed the sign in the restaurant, but as we left the outside sign still said 2 for 1. No mention of not on Friday was on any of the signs.

They got us for some money that night, but we'll never be back. I also will be telling everyone I know to not spend...

This place has a culture of not being customer oriented. And you can tell it's the management because too many employees were nonchalant and weren't trying to provide decent service. We met here on Friday as part of the first night of a large family reunion of people coming from throughout the US. Pedro's was supposed to have the back area reserved for this large gathering. It was not reserved . And they had 1 waiter for us and we had at least 35+ family members showing up. We started leaving and went to eat elsewhere. This place is use to treating their local customers with poor service. But when you get people from out of town that are use to a better level of customer service and already skeptical about Mexican food in Opelousas, because I'm from Houston, some aren't going to patronize a business and spend money for poor service. And that's what happened. Many of us left Pedro's for other eating...
