Coastal Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Orange Beach

Rude employee, subpar coffee and extremely pricey. When I'm paying $30 for 3 small milks and a mocha I expect to at least be served with a smile. Corporate event going on so there were a bunch of people standing in front of the counter. Couldn't tell if they were waiting to order or waiting for their food so i just stood back and viewed the menu. No direction. The cashier (who I should mention was very nice) waved us forward and I signaled to make sure the other people weren't there before us waiting to order. She rang us up and told us to just wait there, coffee would be up momentarily. While waiting, we were scolded by one of the other employees. Short brown hair with hoop earrings. Yelling at me and my 2- under 12 nieces to get to the back of the line. I explained we were told to wait where we were and she just scoffed at us and told us to move. I've been in customer service for 30 years. Everyone has bad days and gets agitated when it's busy. It's not an excuse to talk down to your patrons. I'm not in middle school, I don't need to be scolded like a child. Just politely direct traffic. Unfortunate that such a beautiful resort has such a nasty person working under their roof. This is a hotel lobby cafe NOT a legit stand alone coffee shop. They do not have an actual espresso machine. Think of it as a really fancy overpriced gas station. You must park on the free lot, go inside hotel, then go to second floor. WiFi is only for hotel guests. Hotel lobby is beautiful… that’s all it has going for it! Neglects to mention it's in the lobby of a resort, so we were lost trying to find it. Then after finally finding the coffee shop, they only have skim milk. For a coffee shop. Skim milk. They can't manage to go to a grocery store and get whole milk, which is how all specialty coffee drinks should be made. Terrible way to start the day, and they should first, not market themselves as an independent coffee shop as it's in a hotel l9bby ( or at least make mention it's in a hotel so ppl can find them), and spend $5 on a gallon...
