I very excited to try this place as it was close to where I worked, but was very disappointed with the food. I ordered the lunch bento box special which was the teriyaki chicken fried rice, ginger salad, and California rolls with no avocado. The salad was alright but the ginger dressing was terrible. The fried rice had literally nothing in it end it tasted awful. It tasted like someone cooked it in lighter fluid. The California rolls were very dry and did not have much flavor to them whatsoever. The chicken teriyaki, if that’s what it’s called, was disgusting. The teriyaki sauce did not taste anything like teriyaki it looked and tasted like brown colored lubricant jelly with sesame seeds. I ate with some friends who all stated their food was terrible too. 2 of them got the chicken pad Thai and another got the same as me. We all got sick to our stomachs after eating it and the food was not even worth it. I cannot say I will ever eat here again. When we went in to order some of the employees were arguing and one was yelling at a customer telling him he was being too loud, but the poor elder gentleman was hard of hearing even with his hearing aids so he couldn’t help but speak a little louder than normal. The overall experience was not good. Hope others have a...
Read moreI spent about $62 here, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. It took over an hour for the food to be ready, and the quality did not match the price.
We ordered several items: • Crab Rangoons – no crab meat inside, no flavor. • Avocado Roll – very bland, lacked any flavor. • Chicken Tempura Roll – normally one of my favorite rolls anywhere, but here the chicken was extremely tough and hard to bite. I paid $7.95 for it and only managed to eat one piece. • Hawaii Roll – the pineapple and juice were poured over the sushi, making the flavor overwhelmingly sweet and overpowering. • Chicken Fried Rice – overcooked and completely lacking flavor, just like another review I had read before coming. • Chicken Noodles – also overcooked, with chicken that was not good at all.
Overall, I did not enjoy the food and could not finish it. I honestly felt like I wasted $62, and I had to get food elsewhere afterward. The only positive was the customer service — the staff was kind and polite.
I really wanted to like this place since it’s close to me, but sadly, the food quality was not worth the price...
Read moreSpeaking frankly, it is one of the more better, if not the best, local options for sushi in the Deltona/Debary/Orange City area.
As a first time customer, seeing as how they've only been open this weekend, We didn't know what to expect. Walking in for a dine-in dinner though, we were seated quickly had our drinks mere moments later.
We initially came for sushi but we also ordered appetizers and soup as well. The Miso soup, as simple as it is, was full of flavor and had some of the silkiest tofu I've ever had. The gyoza (dumplings) we nice and crispy, decently filled, too.
Sushi, the main event as it were. We split five rolls between the two of us. We had the JB Roll, the Dancing Tuna Roll, the Orange City Roll, the Fancy Dragon Roll and the Chtistmas Roll. All very good, all with their own flavor and flair but the absolute winner, in my eyes, was the Orange City Roll. All of its flavors came together to form a taste so good it'll be hard to forget.
Will I go back? Yes. Will I spend as much as I did tonight? I might spend more.
But the real question we need to ask ourselves:
Is it worth...
