I just left my dentist after getting a dental implant. So I went to Walgreens to drop off the three prescriptions a dentist gave me. I went to the drive-thru and sent them in with My Humana Medicaid insurance card. The guy in the window said oh we don't take certain kinds of Humana insurance anymore and quickly sent it back. He didn't offer me any prices or pharmacy discount cards or any type of courtesy he was basically like oh you have Medicaid we don't take Medicaid and something back. I said oh you can't even give me a price just because I have Medicaid doesn't mean I don't have money. I just spent a lot of money on getting a dental implants I'm sure a prescription is not going to be that much more. It was very rude and condescending the way he was treating me. Then when I said oh I can't pay money for them he said oh well you can send them back if you want to pay money but he just assumed I didn't have any because I was on Medicaid. It was so rude and I get tired of being treated like I'm less than a person because I have Medicaid. This Walgreens is...
Read moreThis has always been my least favorite Walgreens location. I used to go to it for a couple years only because it was right near my job, however the huge majority of my experiences there were so bad so I started going to the Walgreens on 17/92 and Highbanks...even though it was out of my way. Wow, the difference in customer service and quality of personnel is shocking! The pleasant experience at the 17/92 & Highbanks location far outweighed the slight inconvenience of driving a couple miles more. Well, it's been about two and half years since I've been back and nothing has changed...I'm speaking particulary about their Photo Department employees...even the manager today spoke to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. When he realized my order was actually in the bin (since he didn't bother to check it untill I insisted THIS was the store I sent the order to), there was no apology for giving me a hard time. If you want EXCELLENT customer service go to the 17/92 &...
Read moreIt's a mystery as to why pharmacies across the land struggle in the customer service department. This Walgreens is no different. I was very sick and made to come inside to test even though I was told twice they preferred car-side testing. I was greeted by a very rude tech who hated his job, and a pharmacist with the personality of a brick. When I tested positive, I had questions about the treatment medication. The pharmacist answered with 2 and 3 word answers and made me feel like I was interrupting movie night. I am a nurse licensed in the state of Florida. A core value amongst caregivers is empathy. A very simple but powerful act. One that is sadly scarce in today's society and this Walgreens is no exception. Update In the spirit of keeping things honest, the pharmacist from this location just called to get an update on my condition. Whether this was prompt by CDC guidelines I'm not sure, but it was...
