I ordered veg fried rice. They served me fish smelling fried rice that had crumps of previously cooked/fried food.
Upon enquiring the guy at the cash counter, he said "we have separate pans for veg and non-veg". As a person with experince of restaurant business, I found his reply unbelievable.
If you are a vegetarian and you are going to the Cakewalk looking for veg food, you may want to think twice. Thanks for reading.
Reply to the Owner:
You gave a couple of clarifications. Here is my reply.
You may not serve any sea-food. But, being a person with vegetarian diet, I identify what is veg and what is not. My tongue was irritated after eating the fried rice at your bakery/restaurant.
Up on complaining, your server had a prankster's gein on his face. He kept looking at the other guy at the cash register. They both spoke something in coded language.
When I wanted to throw the adulterated food, the guy at the cash register told the sever not to stop me and let me go.
Your team did not have any reasonable reasons as to why the food smelled like fish nor did they have any reason why my tongue was irritated after eating the the fried rice.
I would have been very cooperative if your team had apologised. I had to write this explanation as your reply is kind of rude and putting a question on the credibility...
Read moreWe used to like this store as this was one among few with multiple eggless Cake options for birthdays. Today got same take out, and one of the item had rotten smell the moment it was out of the package. This only means it was from either yesterday or prior. I can't imagine how they can so brazenly pack rotten food (that humans eat) without any regard. With all curries, they only have an option of parathas (which I suspect are cooked from frozen). Limited options outside of breakfast items. Never going back to this store again.
EDIT: The owners response indicates that any feedback less than 5 stars with nice comments as misuse. I did not want to be specific, but seems like the feedback did not help. The feedback was about Baby Corn that I took yesterday. Since when is writing a review that is not to a business's liking as misuse? If that is the case, Google should be advised to take out all the stars and default it to 5 stars. Fake review -? I spent well over $75 yesterday. Either way I am not going here anymore. Appreciate the response and reflect on the feedback rather than...
Read moreThis is the best Indian snack place I've been to in the last six months in the US. Pros: Great taste Huge variety Good options for vegetarians THEY HAVE CAKE! Cons: Slightly more expensive (but totally worth it)
This place was visited by a friend. He had told us that they were expensive and the portions were small. The food isn't really expensive, and the management seems to have improved on the portions. I am a veggie and it cost us about 22$ for two people The paneer wrap was spot on. Highly recommend to try it. The samosa chat was spicy good. Ordered a paper masala dosa. The dosa, aloo curry, chutneys and Sambar were all good. The mango pastry was heavenly. They have an out-of-menu rice of the day, which keeps rotating daily. Today it was vegetable biriyani. I told them I would've loved to try it out but I missed the board. I ordered another mango pastry to go, and the management added on a veg biriyani sample with it to go. Will update on the biriyani, as I'll be having it later on. This is a place I'd surely be...
