I passed through the Columbus area, and a friend I wanted to link up with suggested the Pizza Cottage as a possible location.. Since it was a "new to me" venue and the reviews were good, I agreed..

We opted to dine on the Tipton Tavern side of the establishment at the bar, and aside from some initial misunderstanding with the bartender about how I desired my beer to be prepared (in a frosted pint glass with a salted rim), things went reasonably well..

We sampled an order of five wings tossed in hot 🔥 sauce and served with ranch and celery, and followed those with a medium pizza topped with a double layer of pepperoni and a single topping of sausage..

The wings had a great flavor, but they were served a little less than hot (temperature-wise).. Despite it, they were amply sized, and the hot sauce had a good flavor.. The three pieces of celery weren't exactly crisp, either..

The star 🌟 of the night was the pizza!! A thin, crispy crust despite the copious piles of pepperoni on top.. A nicely seasoned sauce, a good layer of cheese, and piles upon piles of uncured, crispy, cupped circles of pepperoni goodness with decent-sized crumbles of sausage sprinkled around..

The pizza packed more pepperoni than I expected, but I'm not complaining!! I would definitely recommend Pizza Cottage for the pizza alone, though there are plenty of other menu offerings to be had..

Oh, and I should note there was live music 🎶 there tonight.. I didn't catch their names, but it was a couple (an older fellow playing guitar and a gal playing an electric bass while both did vocals), and they were really good.. They offered a mix of genres, and their audio levels and arrangements were fantastically not overbearing.. Just easy on the ears and enjoyable throughout the selections they played while we were there..

All in all, I'm not at all disappointed with my first Pizza Cottage & Tipton Tavern experience.. I'll definitely return on a future visit to the...

1st time there. Overall taste of the food was great. Ordered med. cheese pizza and "APPETIZER" order of fries. Says right on the menu "ENOUGH TO SHARE". When they came out there were about 15 fries. Very small portion. Covered about 40% of the bottom of the basket. My 2 1/2 year old ate every single one and he hardly eats anything. Asked the waiter what size order of fries it was and he said it was the appetizer and agreed there didn't seem to be that very many there. My wife asked if we could just get a little more since it was almost $4 and said enough to share. He said he would see what he could do. He came back and told us he couldn't get us anymore fries but could maybe give a little discount on the bill. As we left I went to front desk and asked for the manager. I proceeded to tell her what happened and advised her it was a bad business decision to choose to give us a $1.77 discount over just a little more fries is all we were asking for. She stood up straight, put her hands on her hips and told me that a bad business decision would be to just give everybody stuff for free and told me good luck. I couldn't believe how she reacted and just never in my life been told no by a waiter about something for something he actually agreed upon in the 1st place. The manager also told me that all the fries are pre-weighed in the mornings so she couldn't change the amount of fries in the order. I find that hard to believe that they are pre-weighed out. It sucks because my family liked the food and the waiter was actually very good. The manager shouldn't be the manager if she reacted to me as nice as I was actually being about it. Not sure if...

My husband and I had never been here before and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately we left not sure we will ever return. It was a seemingly quiet Wednesday night, we were in around 7pm.

We ordered the fried mozzarella which was okay. The sauce was good that came with it. That came out fairly quickly and we had placed our dinner order just before the app came out. We ordered a calzone and a meatball sub with side salads. This is where things went south. We waited approximately 25 minutes before asking if we could get our salads. At this point 3 other tables has been seated and served most, if not all, of their food.

It was clear the server was young and new but it was also clear when it took an additional 15 minutes to get our salads that he had completely forgotten to put our order in. It took a total of 55 minutes to get our food. We watched 3 other tables arrive after us, eat and box their left overs before we got our meal. He did apologize for the long wait but the damage had been done. We would have been much more understanding if he has been honest about the mistake.

Being servers ourselves we understand that things happen but this was a bit much. The calzone did not have any cheese in it, even though it lists that it comes with cheese and the meatballs were not fantastic. Not wanting to wait any longer we didn’t send the food back. It was a disappointment and seems highly overpriced for what we got. This seems like a management issue honestly and the server needed some coaching. Maybe in time we will...

Since Pizza Cottage took over the old Ruby Tuesday, we decided to finally give them a try. So, they darkened windows which is actually nice. The decor is nice and the TV at certain tables is different but interesting. Our server was nice. He had to give us more time because only 1 of us had eaten there before. So, we got the jalapeño Poppers for me which were so good. Just a bit spicy but not that bad. I will definitely order them whenever we decide to go back. Potato skins were ordered but I didn't have any. I got the chicken Philly pizza ,no onions but kept the green pepper slices and mushrooms. It was really good! This will be my go to pizza for here. My son got a meat pizza which he loved. It was a nice dinner with really good food and good staff as well with no issues or mess up with our orders. All in all? This is a place worth looking into and trying at least once.

Brand new to Lewis Center, but been in business since 1972. Ordered the the Supreme specialty pizza with Sicilian crust what some mods through the Web app. It was correct when we got it and was excellent. They really pile on the ingredients. The restaurant was busy as it was football playoffs night on a Sunday and I counted 23 pizzas waiting for pickup. They are still getting organized so we had a 15 minute delay. But considering the huge amount of orders and a backup at the drive-through out to the road, the staff was working hard and did well. The dining rooms were large in two areas, one area features individual televisions with their own remote control on most tables. I recommend to give it a try and enjoy!
