honestly super sad to write a bad review on this because the food is so so yummy, but the service is pretty questionable. i only got to come here two times without being completely thrown off and uncomfortable to come back. the first time was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was pretty awesome. i come back a second time and so far everything was great, we sit down and get our main food and we were talking about how good the food is, and put in an order for sushi to try. she brings the sushi to the wrong table and lets it sit there for a couple minutes before she realizes it was brought to the wrong table, she grabs the sushi from the wrong table and just immediately sits it down on my table. really weird, pretty unsanitary but i wasn’t super worked up over it and let it be despite that being pretty gross as my food was unsupervised at another table for about 5-10 minutes. we finish our food and decided to check out with tap to pay, my boyfriend goes up there and she hands him the receipt to leave a tip, before he can even do anything she starts pointing to the highest tip amount on the page and goes “this one is recommended.” which threw him off completely because we have never had customer service do something like that. he tried to take his receipt to the table so we can write the tip and figure out the cost together, to which she doesn’t let him go back to the table to write it down and makes him write down the tip in front of her. he wrote down his tip, which was about 10% as our service wasn’t anything crazy and we did have some empty cups throughout our experience as well as the sushi incident, but it still wasn’t the worst so we still left her an okay tip. she immediately sees him write down the 10% and gets defensive and passive aggressive. she replies by tapping the receipt again to show the highest percent and goes “this one is most popular” and my boyfriend awkwardly starts walking away and she passive aggressively goes “ok. ok. ok.” we were so uncomfortable we left immediately and didn’t even finish anything we had left. i have never in my entire life had a server act this way over a tip. i was truthfully really disappointed with how she decided to act and we most definitely will not be back despite how...
Read moreWell we decided to try this place out. This review is basically compared to BDs Mongolian since it's basically the same style. Service was fine, nothing super special. They don't have the all you can eat listed on the menu but it is on a chalk board. For lunch time it was 12.99 for one bowl and 16.99 for unlimited. Pretty solid price considering what we have paid lately for lunch. The selection of items is quite a bit lower than BDs they have beef(don't say what kind) chicken, chicken thighs, pork, shrimp, krab, some squid, ham, and i think scallop for meats. They have about 10 sauces you can mix and match, most of them are "sweet". Keep in mind the card they hand you makes it seem like you have to choose a rice, but you can x it out if you arent trying to fill up on rice. They only have two noodle options though, soba and yakisoba i think they are called. In terms of the atmosphere it was nothing crazy, however they do have poster boards with tips and stuff all over written with marker. Oh and be careful about the labels for items. When i was there a lot of the labels were wrong for the food they were above. Overall this place is new, seems to be a mom n pop type place, but seems to be subpar compared to BDs. I'd still rather eat here than BDs since it's closer and not a restaurant giant. I would love to see them add more noodle options especially rice noods. Give em a go and see what ya think!...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the host greeted us immediately and sat us. Our server (almost immediately after) greeted us and got our drinks. We knew we wanted to try the buffet-style stir-fry so we ordered quickly. He was very good at explaining the process and the prices. He also assisted us while we were at the buffet to make sure we were not confused and provided suggestions as well. The buffet style stir-fry is similar to BDs Mongolian in how you make your bowls (raw ingredients cooked together after selected) however, the quality of the ingredients is MUCH better than BDs. My fiancé had 2 bowls (he doesn’t get the rice or noodles). I was only able to get 1 because it was just so filling that there’s no way I could have had another. The portions are as generous or as minimal as you want it to be. The bowl is large enough to accommodate a large meal if you want to fill it generously. The yum yum sauce is really tasty and I added that on top of my bowl as a topper when it was finished. The entire time our server was very attentive and polite. We never waited for refill bowls, take away of dirty plates, or refills. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. Music playing is nice, and the tvs are playing. Overall great experience (and I’m pretty picky about Asian food). We can’t wait to come back! I hope this restaurant is...
