First off i love the food here. I had called in the first time to Place a CARRYOUT as i was looking at the online Genji go menu and the lady ( Lauren ) told me they didn't have take out so i hung up. I was confused at first because i had called the Dublin Genji and they told me i could do pick up but it was going to take some time. So i called back to the Lewis center Genji and Lauren answered again and i asked are you sure you don't do pick up? She told me no because the food was to expensive and people don't show up to pick the food up, walk in only. I had explained that the Dublin ones does pick up and that Lewis Center is On the Genji Go Menu. She said no they don't do that so i got pissed and hung up the phone knowing i could have placed a order and picked it up! (as I've done this before). About a hour later after i cooked dinner my Gf had called in to see if they do pick up and Lauren answered and said yes we do... So my gf explained to her that i just called in to place a carry out and Lauren told her that i was "Lying" ? After i called twice to explain what i wanted. Lauren said the manager was standing next to her and that we wanted to talk to him/her. Then she told us that she was the manager and we said you just told us you were next to the manager and then she said The manager will be in tomorrow. She then started to get pissed at my gf ( not professional at all even if she was a manager that is no way to talk or treat a customer) i would have been fired from my job if that was me. So we told her we will be coming in to talk to who ever the real manager is. SO either she was just lazy and didn't want to place a order or didn't want us to talk to the manager. Im very angry and disappointed this happened and want to hear from the manager or get some type of explanation. I definitely will not be going back to the lewis...

I usually go to Hibachi Express but wanted to give Genji Go a try because I know the taste varies by establishment, as I’ve been to Ichiban, Sakura, Fujiyama, and Iron Chef all around Columbus. So I tried two locations in two weeks: Lewis Center and Gahanna. I got chicken once and steak the other time, both with mushrooms, onion, and zucchini. Both came with plenty of food. No issue with portion sizes. The online ordering for no-contact pickup was easy and convenient, and both of my orders were prepared on time and correctly. Great cost as well. However, I wasn’t a fan of the taste. It was too spicy for me. Not sure what makes it that way, and that’s just a preference. It’s the same way for me with Iron Chef and Ichiban. I just prefer the tastes of Sakura and Hibachi Express. Overall I would still give the business an 8/10 due to the quality, quantity, timeliness, correctness, and price. Seeing how Genji has expanded, there’s plenty of people who like their taste....

I am a law enforcement officer and it’s convienient to carry in to work today what I asked if my steak could be cooked on a different spot due to me being allergic to shrimp a female worker told me I just shouldn’t eat here and should go somewhere else. There are utensils for different types of food so when the same spatula is being used on the shrimp and steak at the same time that’s cross contamination. I am allergic to shell fish and I noticed the cross contamination that shouldn’t be taking place at all in any case. Within a more than reasonable amount of time my situation was addressed by the owner, very professional, I’m beyond pleased to say I will be a returning customer simply due to the hospitality I was given in return of a prior issue. This restaurant is very lucky to have the manager/owner as a part of their team/family. I can’t say enough...
