I love sushi, tambien!

Social Distancing review

I Luv Sushi Too, from the people behind the original I Luv Sushi in Lakewood, replaces their previous venture, Bowls by 39 Degrees, during the poke bowl boom of yesteryear. I always found the food & service to be excellent from Bowls by 39 Degrees, so during our hard times, I made sure to support the staff with my business for lunch.

Samurai lunch special (3 hand rolls w/ miso soup & salad)- For $10+, guests can choose any 3 hand rolls from a designated 11 options, complete with miso soup & salad. Immediately, spicy yellowtail & spicy albacore became destined to be my to-go lunch. Generous chunks of sweet, fresh fish greeted this hungry consumer of all things seafood. I've had larger hand rolls, but not at this price. The hot miso soup & crisp salad completed a perfectly crafted lunch.

Service was excellent! Brandon quickly & expertly worked his magic behind the counter, talking shop with me as he went about his business. The owners remembered me from the Grand Opening of Bowls by 39 Degrees, to which I was their very first customer, receiving a free shirt for being so.

Parking is at the 99 Ranch plaza, with I Luv Sushi Too located in between Cauldron Ice Cream & It's Boba Time Cafe.

Got the lockdown blues? Then, get your daily dose of omega 3's at I Luv Sushi Too. The fish & seafood is fresh, and the lunch specials are very affordable. Adding to that the friendly service, naturally, makes I Luv Sushi Too a restaurant of which I...

If you're desperate then come here for average sushi for a high price. Just make sure to bring a jacket because it's at most 65 degrees in there. I ran into my car as did other people to get jackets.

I noticed there also aren't that many (if at all) salmon emphasized specialty rolls. Those are usually my go to and out of the long list of rolls, this was quite disappointing.

Red yellow green sampler: Skip For 25 bucks and 12 pieces total, this was not worth it for me. It's very saucy and very spicy and ultimately, just more americanized, greasy rolls to me. If that's your thing then by means get this.

Miso: Skip For 3 bucks it's run of the mill and very gritty. Not bad and if it's your thing to usually start with this then sure it doesn't disappoint

Salmon cut sushi roll: Maybe For almost 7 bucks, this was the most decent thing we ordered. Just straight forward and the salmon tasted fatty and marbled. It's still unremarkable but after the above 2, this was the saving grace.

Service: Slow but friendly When we got seated, it took like 15 minutes for someone to finally notice us and that's after I flagged a server down. It definitely wasn't busy as more than half the tables were empty. Food probably took another 20 minutes to come out and no refills on the water of course. Then getting the check was a whole other process.... They were friendly though so no complaints in...

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at your establishment, I Luv Sushi Too (Instagram handle: luvsushitooo). I visited your location in Orange County after working a 10-hour shift and driving 20 minutes out of my way, only to be met with poor customer service.

I arrived at 8:34 PM, well before your advertised closing time of 9 PM, but I was told that the kitchen was already closed and that I could not be served. All I wanted was one sushi roll, and after craving sushi all day and making the effort to visit your restaurant, this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Your hours of operation appear to be inconsistent and misleading. Based on my experience, it seems your actual closing time is closer to 8:30 PM—or even earlier—depending on what the staff decides. This lack of professionalism and clarity is unacceptable and unfair to your customers.

I strongly urge you to update your hours of operation to reflect reality and ensure your staff adheres to those posted hours. Customer service should always be a priority, and I hope you address these issues to avoid similar frustrations for future patrons.

Sincerely, Your...

Rice to meet you. @iluvsushitoo has rolls on their menu specifically made to look like little animals, and it’s adorable. 4715 W Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92868 and 3215 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712 They have a large menu to choose from, and hiding on their menu are the caterpillar roll, dragon roll, and little bunnies. They’re so cute, and the dragon roll literally looks so much like a dragon that it was making me laugh. Their rolls are also really affordable - many are $13. They also have the most beautiful sashimi plate for only $55. It has 28 pieces of sashimi, chef’s choice. That’s under $2 for each piece, which is wildly affordable. They also have ½ roll samplers, warm appetizers, entrees like yellowtail and hibachi, and a ton of options for non-sushi eaters as well. It’s also a beautiful restaurant, and before now, I actually had no clue it was there - they just opened. Are you gonna go order lil sushi animals? . . . #foodreel #feedfeed #eater #feast #lol #sushi #cute #orangecounty #lacounty #lafood #lakewood #orange #datenight #thingstodo #mmm #sushilover #explore #discover

One of the best experiences I've had getting my Sushi fix. Getting in early in the day when the crowds were lighter allowed the amiable Chefs the flexibility to flex their presentation art skills a bit when making my American Dragon roll to produce the lovely work attached to this post which tasted amazing. Though I do not partake in Alcohol, they did have a list and also had sodas for the rest of us. Been a while since I've had Ramune. This is a Sushi restaurant, so it was understandable when Sashimi was the only true recommendation for those with a combination of Sesame, Gluten, and Peanuts. Though I do not have those dietary restrictions myself, I am confident that if I brought my friend, the fresh ingredients would still make the Sashimi a pleasant trip. In all, for the portions provided, the prices are on the money, the staff are friendly, and the Atmosphere was relaxing without leaning too heavily on design tropes. It was nice to catch a glimpse of the World Cup going on at the TV (Good effort, US! If only the Men's team could perform at that level, we might have a chance...). Booth or Bar seating available. Will DEFINITELY be going back.
